Lilim was pushing her luck with her mother more and more of late, but that was simply because her brother Baal seemed to get away with it. If he could, why couldn't she? So today found the tenacious white cub wrestling with a discarded animal carcass. It had been out so long that what animal it used to be was hard to tell. Either way, it still had some hide left, and some bones, and Lilim was picking her favourite pieces and putting them aside.
Once she'd found lots of sharp bits and some tattered pieces of hide, she'd take them back to the den for safe-keeping for later. She'd need to find someone or something capable of fashioning items from bones though. Lilim lusted after a necklace just like her mother's.
Mouth full of organic junk, she set off across the dust and sand but had barely stepped 10 paces before she saw the black cub leap over a dune and right onto a juicy lizard. Some cubs have all the luck! She watched a little while, wondering if this dark cub would be as evil to the reptile as her brother was.
