Can someone who's a bit computer savvy answer me this?

I wondered, what's the difference between the C drive and the D drive on your computer/laptop?

my 'local disk' C drive has 27.9 gb free of 69gb, and this is where all my documents and pictures and all that jazz are stored - the default is that everything gets stored here.

Wheras my 'local disk' D drive is 61.9gb free of 69gb and barely has anything on it.

For games and stuff, i thought that i could save space and performance on my computer by saving and running them off the D drive, but first i wanted to know what the heck the D drive is and if it'd work.

What do you think?

I'm not very computer savvy either. (my friend found this out the hard way yesterday)

So I just make sure I have computer savvy friends I can call if I need something.

I just looked it up and this seemed like a pretty good answer to your question though.

I can't say I'm a computer expert either but it just looks like it's another drive where you can save things on.
