I'm sure most of you heard the news between the swine flu hysteria this week.
Arlen has been a moderate republican voice for the state of Pennsylvania for 30 years or so. Seeing that a younger and more extreme GOP candidate was being groomed to take his seat, Arlen chose to make a grandstand play and switch parties late in life.
Granted this insures nothing for the democrats. Even today, the senator voted against parts of the economic recovery package still on the table.
Will his vote continue to hold the anti-gun people at bay? What can anyone tell us about his voting record on gun laws? And will Obama's anti gun supporters try now to ram the assault gun law back on the book?
