Haramu was very glad everything was settled now. Her non-demon cubs were in their new home, the rest of her cubs were doing well, and she was able to hunt again. But before that...before that, she went through her forms. The fighting techniques Jibril taught her that she could practice on her own, that kept her in shape, and far from rusty. She was small and pale, but one day she would show she was as skilled a warrior as any of the dark-furred demons.

She went through things a little slower than she normally liked to...but she'd let herself go for the last couple weeks. So it was needed, to keep her from possibly tearing a muscle or tweaking something.

User ImageBarakillian hadn't left the pridelands for some time now, instead sticking close to his Aran'shale and honing his skills as a Royal Guard. He'd bee distracted lately, the growing need to check with his offspring... to prove to himself he hadn't abandoned them. It was a hard emotion, this desire to parent creatures he'd never thought he'd be interested in. But, as he was a responsible lion, he was bound to at least collect the demons among the litter.

Thus, he'd wandered further away from the central parts of the pride to attempt some scouting. Would he know them? ... Did he want to know them? They were questions he was unsure he wanted the answers to.

However, with only half a heart bent to the purpose, it wasn't long before he caught the scent of another and paused. An intruder? Eyes narrowing, the large lion headed off in that direction and stopped by a tree to watch the lioness progress through her forms. A fighter...? And awfully light in colouration... The Royal Guard held his position for she reminded him of something...

Ah, that's right. He'd heard mention of a pale demon but could not recall a name. Best be safe and inquire then.

Stepping forward, Barakillian cleared his throat and rumbled slightly to get her attention, "Care to tell me who you are?"

The pale lioness did not start, but easily dropped from her current form and turned to look at the one addressing her. By the look of him, he was a fighter, like she...though by his pelt, he was likely of a higher rank. There was also the way he held himself...

"I am Haramu-chanua. A Tsafare of this pride." She bowed her head, in acknowledgement of him, and the fact he was likely higher on the food chain than she was. "I'm afraid I do not know who you are. I still have yet to become fully acquainted with who all is in the pride." Despite the fact she hunted for them. No matter...with the pride growing as it was, and as busy as she had been...it was not surprising.

"Tsafare..." He echoed, nodding with approval. A hunter, one the ones charged with supplying fresh meat to the hungry mouths of the pride. A good rank, pale or dark. "Well met, Haramu-chanua." However, he did not bow his head to her, whether out of pride or doctrine associated with rank, it was unclear. Bara did not bow to anyone, especially strangers.

"Then it is good you do not know me. My task is not to be noticed." He smiled, tossing mane as he approached closer, "I am Barakillian Arma'ath to Aran'shale Vergelian. I am the wall between he and the rest." Bara nodded, continuing before she might question his separation from his charge, "I am in search of something, I have permission to be away from the king."

Arma'eth, hm? It fit him, she felt. And he was right...that she had not noticed him before was a sign he was doing his job well. "I hope you find what you seek, then." She'd finished her seeking. Thus, Haramu was content to stay within the lands of the pride and do her job and raise her cubs. "Perhaps I might help? I've seen many things around the outskirts of the pride, since that is where the herds lie. If that is the area you are searching in, that is."

He thought about her offer for a moment before nodding slowly. A hunter would see and know more along the borders then he would. "Perhaps... there is a female I saw, once, a Child of the Night she called herself. I wish to know the results of that day... I tested my link to the demons and now I must test the strength of my own blood."

He sighed, "I remember little of her... beyond a blood red coat and a peculiar way of speech. Knew her place beneath the demons. Perhaps you've seen her, or the cubs I might have sired? They are demons before they are Children of the Night and I must claim them."

A Child of the Night...from the jungles, perhaps? She'd heard whispers of lions over there who drank blood and were bound to the night more intimately than the demons. She thought. And shook her head.

"I've seen flashes of red in the jungles part of our border runs through...but I've never seen if they were attached to a lioness. Perhaps the red was her. Perhaps not." She sighed and shook her head once more. "I am sorry I am not of more help, Arma'eth."
