Zahmira smile The trailer does have vol. 8 manga stuff in it, just so that you are warned. Pffft. Yeah, okay. Hardly worth a warning. Anyway, I always make it a point to see "the movie" before I read "the book" these days, as I invariably prefer "the book", what with it's more room for character and plot development, greater flexibility and freedom, etc.
However when it comes to anime/manga, the only caveat is that I typically find the action scenes in manga to be relatively piss poor (ie lacking, rushed, confusing, and hard to follow) and therefore appreciate those, in particular, more upon being animated and clarified.
After I watch the OVA, rest assured I will acquire and read the manga to get all those details they were forced to leave behind, but will likely pay minimal attention to the "action scenes" in the manga.
Of course it would help if they released more than Vol 1 in the special hardcover edition. I guess I'll just put in some quality time at B&N reading without actually purchasing them until they do so.
Oh, and arigatou gozaimasu for the trailer. *showers thanks and praise*
Unfortunately now my appetite has been whetted, and I must sate it with something. *pulls Hellsing DVDs from his bookcase, and the fansubs from his spindle* Mmmm, watching both in rapid succession and comparing should prove most interesting. *drools*
