So I've had this problem a few times. What do you do when the Sims starts to get boring? You seem like you've done everything?

Like Rozen said, play an honest family with nocheats.
Or do some Maxis made familes, give them all makeovers, or start a legacy. biggrin

3nodding Same here.

Let's see... I've also tried different challenges. I started a blog where I write stories. I've tried just re-making a neighborhood from scratch and making a city structure with a small government and taxes and schools.

if all their needs are met, then i work on their wants. if they are easy like buy something or talk about hobby, harder ones i try later in the sim day. or, i work on any skills they need for work.

Things to do when The Sims 2 Gets Boring. Ri-chan's checklist.

1. Turn off the game and the computer and give the computer a break...and the game too. Preferably an hour to a few days...Who knows?

2. Get yourself a decent meal and a nice hot bath or shower or something to relax...

3. Watch a movie or read or something, just chill...

4. Get some exercise.

5. Play a different game.

6. Do some work...like chores or homework or something so long as you're bored with the game...

7. If you're still bored, delete each of your families and sims and create new ones to start new lives...or if you don't want to delete them, just make a new family to play with.

8. Stop using cheat codes if you've been.

9. Take video shots and make 'home movies' or music videos, being creative.

10. Take snapshots and be creative in story mode. Instead of being literal about what happened...such as, for example, if your sim got electrocuted repairing a computer just for the sake of repairing it...you could say, "Jimmy Sim wanted to e-mail his girlfriend, but realized that the computer was broken...so he tried to repair it and...ZAP!"

It's called SURVIVOR, Sims-style.

You know what I'm talking about. wink You take 8 Sims, shove them in a very minimalist house, put it on autopilot, sit back and relax and watch the fun unfold. smile

1. Give all your sims makeovers.
2. Play or install sim
3. keep makng food over and over. If sims arent hungry put it in the fridge. This increases cooking skill.
4. Install expansion packs.
5. Try to recreate your sims 2 family on the sims original game.
6. Keep using the toilet over and over again until it brakes and then repair it. This increases the handyness skill.

Make a new family or ruin the family I'm playing now life, like if the two sims are happily married with like a bunch of kids I'll make one of the parents start to go downtown a lot to meet up with some one else and watch the sparks fly.
Make a new business.
Create a whole new neighborhood use delete all characters and start from scratch with townies I made.
Build stuff like colleges or cafe's and malls.
Make a butt ugly sim and marry him to a beautiful sim and see what their children look like.
Start making random townies that walk by my house die using rodney's death creator and boolprop to select the sim who walked by. heart heart heart
Make movies.
