ok so i made a tail yesterday
it is blue...not the color i really want but it was just to see how well i could make one

anyway I would really like to know of a gold colored material that is scaly
looking
like lizard or dragon scales
and also fairly easy to hand sew
i would like to know where they might carry it and how much it might cost

I know making a scalie suit is optional but i want to make a tail and perhaps some other accessories to emulate my character
...scaliesone (furrsona) ...idk what to call it

also I would love a few tips on making horns
I made some out of clay...but i would love to learn of other methods

also a cheap way to make dragon ears would be nice

any info or ideas would be appreciated

Well, I've seen some scaly fabrics at random Wall-Mart's and Jo-Ann fabrics, but it's more of a random chance than anything. If you're truely bent on getting that fabric, look on E-bay. My mother used to make and sell scrubs, so I usually went with her on her little fabric excursions.

I've thought about how to make false ears and horns before. It was for a Chrono Crusade cosplay I was going to make. I couldn't for the life of me find any way to make ears, but then again, I'm no expert, and I'm not sure what kind of dragon ears you're looking for.

Now the horns could be crafted from foam if nothing else. Once you carve and sand them, then use paper mache and coat them two or three times. I'd suggest the tough pink foam that they usually use for construction; you may be able to find it at Lowes. After they're nice and hard, them get some spray paint or acrylics and paint it up like you wanted them. They're lighter than clay and they'll last so long as you don't throw them and step on them.
