He smiled down at her as she spoke, letting out a soft sigh of his own. His attention was stolen momentarily as the small bird turned and adjusted himself as he precariously balanced on his paw. Once he was adjusted, though, he let his attention fade back to where it really mattered.
"I wouldn't distract us from our duties too long," he said with a smile, his tail batting lightly against her own, "but it's nice to be able to just sit with you sometimes, and stare at the stars." He let his eyes drift up again as he leaned into her slightly, so that they were both leaning into the other. "I missed it."

Biti caught Ally's attention briefly as well, she looked down and bit back a laugh. It was nice that they got along, and she didn't imagine Fafnir would have the heart to kick the chick off his paw. Not intentionally anyway.
"Oh, I suppose we can fit it in," she said, yawning, "We won't always have something to deal with immediately." She had high hopes that once Fafnir became king, they would mostly be able to relax a bit. They could keep up with goings-on without constantly checking in. Until then, though, they had some work to do but a little procrastination wouldn't hurt.

"Good," he said with a little smile, leaning to nuzzle against her cheek softly before letting his eyes drift slowly shut. "I'd hate to have to waste a beautiful night on business." Her yawn hadn't gone unnoticed though, and he was glad he had decided to put off King-talk for now. "We'll just sit under the moon for now, and listen to the night. Maybe we'll hear the giant turtles walking if we're really quiet." The last thought made him chuckle a bit, but his mind was starting to fuzz with own tiredness creeping up on him.
He was warm, happy, and content for the first time in a long time with what he was doing. Sleeping under the stars with the female he loved was a beautiful bonus.
