Ruby nodded as he went about his explanation. She listened closely-carefully trying to memorize the words, steps, and images. When he finished she replied, "I'll add it to my shop-list."

Then she wondered out of the room. "Speaking of charge," she said, "How much do I owe you?" Wondering back, leaning against the door frame, she held a pen and check-book.

Daara glanced at the clock. After all he had only really checked things over and explained things, so a couple of hours work wouldn't be expensive with the callout.
"£35 ok?" He asked politely. While he's always found talking about prices uncomfortable, he's taught hismlef to get over it. Of you were too unsure people tended to argue. He knew he was fair anyway, cheaper than a lot, so he was fairly level and professional in tone.
Somwhere in the back of his mind he wished he'd made it out that he could have stayed over and done eveyrthing for her....a policewoman's files woudl be interesting and he coudl have installed a spyware in..
he ended that train of thought as quickly as it had come. besides, she had an open wireless connection and she might be connected upto other police computers -certainly a goverment system even if she didn't know it, he could probably snoop if he wished.
He felt a little bad for it, but then again it was...well, business. This woman was interesting. he decided that at the very least he would try hack into the local police and find her file.
He looed slightly distracted by his thoughts, but didn't betray anything sinister on his face.

Ruby nodded and wrote out the check-somewhat surprise that it didn't cost more. But then, of course, this wasn't her business. He could have tripled it and she would have been none the wiser when she paid.

Daara seemed distracted for a moment when she tried to hand him the check. "Thanks," she said as she laid it down in front of him. "Need another for the road or are you finish?" She pointed to the cup she had given to him earlier.

Robert was a cautious man, but he couldn’t risk being cut off from the rebels. He often frequented the closed flagon, a traditional pub with a warm atmosphere and good food. It also happened to be one of the only rebel hotspots unknown to the police. As Robert entered he scanned the inside to see if anything noticeable had changed. He approached the bar and ordered a pint of ‘abbot ale’ he asked where the young man who usually waits the tables was. He was informed that he swapped shifts which calmed Robert’s nerves slightly. He took his pint outside and lit a cigarette, he didn’t smoke but realised the value of using a cigarette when it came to eaves dropping. As he crossed the room he heard a snippet of every conversation so when he returned he knew exactly where to sit, and whether this was still a safe location. After a few hours of drinking he left with a belly full of beer and a head full of fresh information, it appeared that his plan to implicate the terrorists was coming to fruition. Content with the information he gathered he returned to his flat to plan his next step.

Dara took the cheque and put it in his jean pockets. he smiled.
"That's very kind of you, miss, but I should probably be heading off. The job of an IT tech is never done." he said, making a mock flourish of heroics on the last sentance. He laughed.
"It was a pleasure to meet you. remember, if you ahve any problems, feel free to call and I'll take you through it. you've still got my number, right?"

Ruby gave Daara a kind smile in return. "Yes, I still have your number," she replied as she walked with him to the door. "And thanks again. Have a pleasant evening-don't get caught past curfew." She doubted he needed the warning and there was still plenty of time before it was in effect. Lewie meowed in the background and she said good-bye once more with a wave before shutting the door.

" 'course not. Thanks again m'am." Dara said. He headed out bck to his car and drove home. he planned a long night ahead of him - namely hacking around to figure out who this womn was and how he might somehow use her. Then he planned to devise a way to get into the media's computer system. it could take him weeks, but it may prove useful one day.
His main project - one he had been planning and enacting for a while - was a way of grouping together rebels. a phantom code he planned to put through onto computers of everyone currently on 'watch' by the police. a few breadcrumbs which would hopefully lead to somehow creting an organisation of rebels.
he had to tred carefully now.

Ruby went about cleaning up the coffee mugs and pot. Her stomach grumbled a bit. Looking at the time she realized that it was about dinner time. She fixed herself a simple sandwich and a glass a water. Just when she finished cleaning that up and thought she could do a little more resting the phone rang.

She scrambled to answer it. It was a brief conversation....

"I'll cover it. No problem," she replied. Then she said good-bye and hung up the phone. A sigh escaped her. Lewie sat down on the floor nearby. Glancing over at her cat she gave a half-smile. "Guess who gets to go out again tonight?"

Lewie meowed. "Yep, you're right," she said as she wondered back to her bedroom to get her uniform. She loved her job, but these long hours were wearing her out.
