no just to cause mass panic. cus lets face it,if your just becoming concerned about your kids because of some texting story its waaaaaaay too late fer u. at that point u pretty much fail at life im assuming. but there is a demographic that are high stung super wacked out people( some of which may or may not have children) that would eat any type of news and buy it no matter what. just because its negative. like the old saying goes there's no news like bad news, plus bad news equals ratings.
