Niwasha'Hewa was relaxing in the shadow of the cliffs, rolled onto her side and watching the afternoon go by. It was not a time of day to be doing much of anything else. She was far from lazy - she was, in fact, an excellent huntress - but there was a time for that sort of work, and the middle of the afternoon was not it. Not in the desert. Still, even while relaxing, she was not entirely at ease. She'd been uneasy ever since the reunion of the Motoujamii, and didn't expect that to change anytime soon.
The lioness kept such things to herself, of course, and kept mostly to herself as well. She had little to do even with her family these days, with her mother dead and her twin dispersed. They were the two she'd always been closest to. Eventually, perhaps, she would choose to...participate more, but she wasn't ready yet.
She still had many things to think about, and she would not be rushed.
((I fail at titles, sorry. XD))

The hottest part of the day or not, Kinja couldn't stand lazing about anymore. Instead, the old lioness had taken to exploring the land she once knew so well in her youth. So much had changed, yet, much of it remained the same. It was a strange and somewhat disturbing realization but one that Kinja just assumed was the norm in the desert. It was just hard to comprehend. When she lived in the desert she didn't notice the changes as much. Sure, when a storm brewed up the dunes would shift or grow larger of smaller but nothing was major. Now...now she had been gone for years and things seemed so different....yet familiar.
With the heat of the day at it's peak Kinja had decided to move back towards the cliffs of the den. There she could seek shade if need be. Being away from the heat for so long made her a bit more sensitive to it, but only just. It seemed old habits died hard and the lioness was quickly adjusting to the sun's hot rays again.
It was around these cliffs that the form of another lioness caught Kinja's attention. Another fiery red female was beating the heat, tucked away into the shadows of the cliffs. Now, Kinja would have left the lioness be, but it looked like she was far from falling asleep and wad just biding her time and Kinja felt maybe a bit of company would help bide the time. So, with that thought in mind, the elder lioness walked toward the cliffs, noting the temperature change once she entered the shadows. "It looks like you have quite a lot on your mind." She smiled and tipped her head in greeting. "If you don't mind, maybe a bit of company can help ease whatever is bothering you? I am Kinja."
