Teleka wasn't really sure what to think. His family was back together but Kijinga had just told him that his son wasn't planning on staying.
He just lent his head on top of hers and watched their children act it seemed as if they were cubs again.
"I have missed this..." He spoke softly so that only his mate could hear. Oh how he missed the days where Tamu and Ny would play fight. They were such good days and now the pride was tainted. Oh he missed the good old days.
Ny met Tamu with a pounce. Her brother... oh it was her brother.
"Tamu!! Where have you been, why? Are you staying?" She was full of questions for her brother but was so happy she had him back. Oh how she had missed her brother, and her mother of course but Tamu, well he meant the world to her!

“It…doesn’t matter” He cooed, the male rolling onto his sister from the pin she had snagged him in. It was just like the old days, though he was older and stronger now he enjoyed their play like he had then; soft chuckles escaping his maw every movement he made. Granted, his purpose today would be met at some point, but for now he would let her, and his parents relish the time they spent together. The last time. “Just enjoy this.”
Slithering away from Ny, he positioned himself beside her and nuzzled the side of her face, purrs rumbling deep in his throat. "What have you been up to, hmm? Still causing trouble I'd assume!"
And from her seat near Teleka, Kijinga breathed sighs of relief. The tension that had been there earlier of Tamu’s leave had vanished as she saw the family reunite; he would still go off when it was his time to, but she had held him back for so long that the guilt she could put on him would be thrown away. Kijinga had taken a lot of Tamu’s life, his time to find a mate and being happy in a family of his own and it was time that she released him, even if it wasn’t fair to the rest of the family.
She knew she could not hold him back.
”He won’t stay.” She sighed, leaning in on her mate to balance out their seats. “But he is right, we should just enjoy this. All of this. Time is so precious.” Licking his chin, the female let her eyes flutter shut, dozing off against his side.

"I'm not answering your questions if you aren't answering mine!" Ny had never lost her stubbornness and she could quite happily sit there with her brother not talking until he answered her question. She wouldn't be all that bothered to hear he wasn't staying after all she had let her own son leave but at least she knew he was now alive, she had been so sure that he had died.
She laid down and smiled looking over at her parents.
"Father deserves her back... he has been a mess without her." She lowered her voice so that only her brother could hear. It was so good to see them both back together and though she would be able to accept her brother leaving again, her mother could not. She didn't want to see her father return to how he was.
Teleka nodded as his mate spoke.
"It is his choice. The world is big out there, Ny went out there once and came back mated to Ra. Maybe Tamu will return with a mate of his own one day." He was speculating and wasn't sure that after today they would ever see his son again but it might give his mate hope and that at least was something.
"You are right we should." He nuzzled her just to make sure she really was there. He wasn't about to loose her for a second time.

Nights had been rough from the start, when he originally left with Kijinga. Not knowing whether or not they survived the war plagued him and as hard as he fought depression in front of his mother, deep down its presence still lingered. With their bodies in his sight, their smells encompassing him; he was riddled with guilt. How badly he wanted to stay and be in this security forever, the comfort his loved ones brought was so desired by he. There couldn’t be a place in this world he’d rather travel on, could there?
No. There were, plenty of lands he walked and wanted desperately to revisit. Yes, not knowing what would become of them would inevitably haunt him but…everyone seemed to have grown up, matured and prepared themselves for a new life, and it was high time he had as well. Far too many memories rested on these desert plains and the familiarity of the Firekin had been lost a long time ago. He’d miss the pride, he’d miss his family the most, and to know the journey would be rough and emotionally taxing would press against his decision heavily.
He was prepared now, however, and that night he would leave his past behind him. Visits would be sparse, contact limited, but some day he’d return and maybe then he’d be ready and willing to settle in with a mate, and kids to call his own.
Maybe. "Your right, he does deserve her" Tamu whispered to his sister, eyes gazing over her crown to the snuggled mass that was their parents. And in a softer, barely audible whisper Tamu turned his head away from Ny and said "I'll miss this."
Kijinga slept against Teleka now, in her dreams she reminisced on the old days, thought of the new ones, and for a moment exhaled as heavily as she had ever done before, almost as if she was releasing a breath that had been cooped up for far, far too long.
(I think this is a good Fin for their rp? 8D We can say Tamu'meka has now left the Firekin fringes and is now wandering the rogue lands for new possibilities! I'm so happy their back together, KijingaxTeleka. ;; )
