Artemis Vulpes [.DonnieBear.] Artemis Vulpes Ah, Canada, had a feeling. *waves down from Oregon* Well I'm in Alaska, but it's not legal here, so we drove to Canada ^^ Well, you can get married in the states, just not wont be recognized. Even now, the goverment wont recognized you are married no matter where you had the ceremony. It is a sad thing, but I know will change. The ball has started rolling, I and certain that before the end of the next decade same sex marriages will be fully recognized in the US.
I really do hope that changes though. |

Artemis Vulpes [.DonnieBear.] I don't mind that it's not recognized right now, just because legally people don't recognize it, doesn't mean I'm not married. 3nodding I really do hope that changes though. Exactly! That is what I keep telling people. Honestly, there is a different between being married, which is the more spiritual side of things, and having a legal document saying you are, which is more the civil union side of things. Gay or straight, if you sign a legal document you are in a civil union. What makes it a marriage is going through the ceremony. |
