What gaming system is right for me?

Hey, I'm crossposting this to some of my other guilds. I've got a particular question: I've been trying to decide which gaming system I and my sister should buy.
I tend to like adventure games, (like the ones Lucasarts used to make) turn-based RPGs, and life-sim games. Which system has the most and best of those games available?

I'd say the DS most likely.........It's probably got the biggest selection of games and genres out of the current generation of systems followed by the 360....however, if you're looking for a system that will last the longest, the ps3's upcomming titles are looking good and Sony's saying it will stick to a 10 year life-cycle.......but I'd say DS or 360 personally....
