Phlegyas laughed darkly. Oh he knew quite well about the former pride and how his king and father rebuilt it. He would regale the tales for his cubs in the den, it was the closest they had to any bedtime stories- but they held tales of blood and war and woe. Hardly the fodder for sweet dreams. It took everything Phle had to keep from blowing his cover and raging about the lion that took him as a cub.
And of course there were still demons that weren't inherently evil in the world. The lion liked to consider himself one of them. Perhaps he was more of a Sparda-demon, but his father would never hear of him taking rank under the noble god. The adolescent shrugged as they neared the dens, trying not to sulk in front of Talutah. He led her about putting on a brave face for the rest of the tour and hoping to avoid his good friend, Tuc so that she wouldn't call out with her usual "Dumb prince!" But while he walked, his eyes were always looking at the distance, itching to get away while the demon within grounded him in the pride.

The next time Talutah looked up the sky was littered with stars. She sighed, her rounds were coming up. It was a pity, she really enjoyed talking with Phlegyas. He was different to most of the other demons around. But she had her duties and the male seemed to have a lot on his mind. She didn't want to overstay her welcome.
"Thank you for the tour. I enjoyed our talk, but my shift is coming up. I'll see you around, hopefully?" With a final wink she left him to his own devices. Hopefully, she would get another chance to talk to this mysterious lion.
