You know, everyone dreams of an island getaway. Some get it, some don't...and some definitely get it in a way they don't expect.

Not entirely sure what happened to the ship, and what caused it to go down. That's what usually happens when people run everywhere in a panic screaming at the top of their lungs, or when there's thunder and lightning everywhere. That kind of thing.

So of course, when things and people are tossed overboard, what else do you expect? This follows the tale of two such souls who found each other, and themselves, on an island of nowhere.

He woke up, dazed and confused about what the hell had just happened. The last thing he remembered was being thrown off of a ship, and then water. Lots and lots of water. And, of course, the sands of the beach. But that came later...he thought.

He got up off his arse, and looked around. There were quite a lot of rocks, and cliffs and such on either side of the beach, though behind it was a forest...or the beginning of such. Frankly, it would've been great if it wasn't for the fact he had just woken up on a seemingly deserted island with no real recollection of how he got there.

"Keep calm, Luke," he said to himself, "Keep calm. The worst thing you can do right now is panic." He looked around his surroundings, and decided that walking around would probably be a good things. On the lookout for anything useful that might be washed ashore as well as him.

There had been screaming, shouting, ominous creaking noises, music. And then nothing.

She lay there, with her eyes closed, just feeling the warm sand under her, listening to the tide coming in and out, tickling her toes. The sun was hot on her skin, and there was absolutely no breeze. It was a glorious day. Except her head really hurt. A lot.

She cracked one almond shaped eye, and then the other, squinting against the daylight. She groaned and pushed herself into a sitting position, which was a mistake because it made her so very very dizzy. She slumped down again, and her black hair fell in her face, and she was too breathless to blow it away again. She reached up to her head, and her hand came away wet.

She was bleeding. That was bad, that much she knew. Head wounds bled a lot if not stopped. That meant getting up off this luxurious beach and trying to get back to the hotel. Or ship. Or house. Or wherever there was people, she couldn't really remember. In fact, she was deliberately avoiding thinking about what was bothering her in the back of her mind, for she feared if she confirmed it, she would break down completely.

You see, the fact was, she had no idea who she was.

The island, or whatever it was, looked nice at least. Walking on the sands, Luke found...well...not a whole lot. A few trees, a lot of sunlight, a crab at one point. Oh, and there was water too, reflecting the average, brown-haired boy walking around almost aimlessly. Said boy was looking around him though, probably close to a panic kept in check only by the fact that if he panicked, there'd be no way he was going to survive.

Or for other people to survive if he found...

Oh, hey look. Speak of the devil.

Luke saw lying in the sands a black-haired girl about his age. And worse off than him. Hurrying the distance between them, he looked her over. For wounds and such. Noticing the one on her head immediately, he tore off the sleeves of his black collared shirt. Her breathing seemed okay, so it seemed fine and dandy to ask, "Does anything else hurt?"

She had her eyes closed, was just lying there, apparently doing nothing, but really making a list of priorities in her head. High number one was the head wound, and doing something about it. Unfortunately, she lacked the coordination to do anything about it, so she was moving on to making a two, three, and four.

That's when she heard it. Footsteps in the sand. Someone was coming! She worked to open her eyes again, and a brown-haired boy slowly came into view. He was peering at her concernedly.

"Does anything else hurt?"

Hmm, quite a good question. She wiggled some fingers and toes, and aside from some superficial scrapes and bruises, nothing seemed badly off, aside from the head.

"N-No." She coughed to clear her throat, and worked to sit up again. The head rush wasn't as bad this time, though it still annoyed her none the less. Not only was it potentially very very bad health-wise, it also made her feel helpless and she didn't know much about herself, but she knew she hated feeling like a stupid damsel in distress.
