so i was exploring when i see this sign it says real high radiation i went in first its 1 then 4 then 150 then 300 then 400....... then i died i couldnt discover the location does any one know how to get all the way in btw fawkes started shooting something when i died

You were probably near Vault 87, where the Super Mutants have their headquarters in the Capital Wasteland. Fawkes was probably shooting a patrol of Super Mutants

Yeah that is basically The Citadel for Super Mutants, Vault 87, its impossible to discover the actual location without codes so you would have to travel somewhere near then walk to it.

You cant get in. Thats the point.

you can get in, all you need is a piece of clothing with a crap load of rad resistance (rad suit), rad-x, rad-away yourself every second via pipboy. I have all locations discovered and no codes, xbox version.

What's waiting for you (in my game) were shards of a nuclear bomb that hit the door of the vault. If you look up all the vault files, it can resist a direct hit from nuclear bomb 99% of the time . Vault 87 was that one percent. the door is broken. and it's impossible to venture from there without fast-travel, refuel on radaway and rad-x, and return.

yep my step dad was ther he entered the radiation field and died almost instantly that place iz literaly swarming with super mutants there are radio toweres all over the place near there

Vault 87 is unable to get through, the front way, which is the heavily radiated area. You can get to the door, but it's inaccessible. Only way to get to Vault 87 is through Little Lamplight Cave, besides using PC cheats to go through the door or something.

To discover? No.

With cheats you can walk through the door but nothing is behind it, it just puts you under the map.

Yeah, the other way you can do it is by exploring vault 87 from lamplight and going to the heavily irradiated places.

Once again, using a rad suit, Fawkes as a companion, and a crapload of rad-x and radaway.
