Zizzykitty Didn't we have a deviantart thread a long time ago? Since a lot of us have deviantarts. Mine.I prefer your photography to your sketches. The shading in the pipes is nice but otherwise you have a very cartoon-y style. I'd try working on more realism since learning a cartoon or anime style then trying to work backwards towards realism is much harder than learning realism first. I'm saying that from experience, I'm trying to work backwards and bring a more realistic element to my art. Also, please read the rules and add a poll to all threads. :>
I've tried realism at school before...
It turned out looking...weird...don't know how to explain it, but it doesn't look right... But that's only for people though... I could draw flowers really good =] Maybe I should upload one on there xD
I haven't draw in such a looonnnggg time!
I've been doing photography lately and neglecting drawing... =[
But your people drawing/sketches are really good!
Waaaayyy better than mine! |

That's why you keep practicing!
I don't want to seem rude and pushy but I must insist. If you're serious about drawing then knowing realism will be a very good thing. I cannot tell you how important knowing realism will be when you try to draw people later. You can always morph a realistic style into a more cartoonish one. When you're still learning it will look funny but practice, practice, practice.
I'd love to see some flower sketches though. :>
I too have been neglecting drawing for photography. If you look I've got a photography project currently going so I'm needed to focus on that more than drawing.
