Surely, you're joking, right? It's a lame unbalanced spinoff using the characters as a marketing scheme.

but i'd have to say that the old games of final fantasy were the best. confused

Greatest FF game? Hardly...

For what it is though, it is a very attractive addition to the FF franchise. Its nice not only to be able to have full battle control of common favorite characters, but to see them polished up with current graphics as well. I have to say its one of my favorite games though I would not say it is the best FF there, that would go to VII, VIII, or X in my opinion, XII is ok too.

Ugh... VIII does not set well with me. I've played and beaten it 3 times and I managed to dislike it more with each play though.

Anyway onto the subject. I recently played the demo and although flashy and purdy to look at the controls just didn't feel right and the fighting mechanics seem too simple to make a good game. I know not to judge by a demo, but I'll still buy if not for a great game then for novelty sakes much like Castlevania: Judgement.
