[DUEL] Proud Origins [Quidel & Xipil]

Today,..was just one of those days. Quidel had woken up on the wrong side of the rocks, with little patience for anyone or anything. It was clear in the way he walked, the way he glowered at passers by. There was a low rumble deep in his throat. But why was he so angry? Well, when you're a teen, do you really need a reason?
In the end...he was lookin for a fight.

Xipil had a mission today, he had spent the last couple of months training, strengthening his body, preparing himself for the day when he became a soldier. He had been constantly training to be ready for a fight should the need arise. So here he was out looking for a fight, no duel.

He had heard that recently many were sparring with rogues seeking entrance or simply other firekin who wanted to. Which had given him the idea to seek out another himself. It would allow him to test the fruits of his training. If he won he needed to keep training, if he lost well he'd need to train twice as hard not to let that happen again.

Luckily for the male he didn't have to look too long. In fact a seemingly angry adol, the same age as himself, was pacing about. Perfect.

"Excuse me,"

Quidel stopped his pacing and plopped his behind in the sand, making a little sand cloud which quickly dissipated.
"What?!"
He asked, ears swivveling to his questioner, before his eyes followed the direction to cast a sour look.

In his mind, 'fight fight fight' chanted. He wanted a fight. He had been looking for one. But then another thought struck him - wouldn't it please his mother much more if he dimonstrated some control over his anger? Well, he'd try. He was stilll pretty friggen pissy though.

Xipil arched his brow that the other male. This was an interesting one if he did say so himself. He seemed so...anxious? He shook his head, now was no time to be deliberating about how the male seemed. He had come for a duel and he was going to get a duel. He needed this opportunity to see if his training paid off or not. Not that he would stop if he won.

There would always be someone more skilled and stronger than him, he needed to be able to possess the ability to beat them. Training would never end.

Already a strategy was forming in the male's head, planning out every move and every attack, of course he couldn't see the other male's moves yet it didn't bother him. In fact it only sent adrenaline pumping through his veins.

"I would like to propose a duel. Are you willing?"

"By all means," Quidel gave a wicked grin, body positioning itself for a fight.
Quidel, though, was a stratagist. He was about to learn that some things are easier in theory than they are in execution. Quidel wan't good at fighting, he didn't have the best reflexes around. His brain was his est asset.

Move: Hit

A smirk crossed his muzzle as he flexed his claws, pawing at the sand slowly as his blue eyes studied his opponent. Suddenly everything clicked in his mind, his plan shone bright, as he moved forward. One step. Two step. One more and he lunged forward claws extended swiping out at the other male aiming for any body part he could sink his claws into.
