It was rare that she took a walk on the mortal planes, especially alone. Tiha had been courting some male and it made Eri lose faith in her mission. Well, she couldn't blame it all on her brother's search for happiness. The goddess had used two mortal males to produce offspring, and with each new child she'd brought into the world a larger part of her heart wanted something... more. She had even begun courting the angelic that ended up with Tiha... and such a shock! She wondered why Tiha never told her he liked males... no matter. She walked slowly, her tail swaying behind her lazily. She was obviously deep in thought until sudden familiarity caused her to stop abruptly and gaze down a path to her right.

The goddess heaved a heartfelt sigh as she looked longing down the dark path. She knew it lead back to her mother's temple and for a precious moment she wondered why she had left in the first place. She'd been so angry... had flung accusations and unkind words to her mother that were born of Eriannia's own fears. She wanted so much to return home, though she never showed it to others. She was the Wild one, out to prove that love didn't exist. She wasn't sure she believed that anymore, not with the loneliness that had recently taken residence in her heart.

The moon was full and unusually bright, but it seemed to Eri to cast a desolate light upon the thick trees. She turned away from the path bitterly. She couldn't return yet... there was something missing in her heart that wouldn't allow her to go home to her mother and new suitor. Not yet. She frowned and seated herself on a large rock across from the path and stared down it, thinking.

Once more, Arlo found himself wandering down lonely paths by himself. He'd spent the day visiting whatever temples he found, conversing with the Deities and others he found there. It was rather disheartening that he still hadn't found a place where he belonged. Still, he had faith. No God was cruel enough to place him in a world where he wouldn't ever find a place, or so he thought. Letting out a sigh, the feathery wings on his back fluttered wildly as a soft breeze swept down the path. Even knowing there was one who he would find perfect, it was still a lonely search. Friends could not replace what he knew he would find.

As he wandered, he knew he was coming towards the path that led to the Temple of the Zamphirs. It was one he'd personally never visited, but perhaps tomorrow. A smile twitched across his lips. That particular path was a marker that his home was only a little further, and the sooner he got home, the sooner he could bury his nose into a new book. A good book at the end of a long day was the best ending Arlo could think of. With a new spring in his step he continued down the moonlit path, watching for the intersecting one until he suddenly stopped. Someone was near by.

Hoping it was not one of those creatures that would try and cause trouble, the Angelic continued, much slower and more cautious than before. He knew the types of evil that could lurk the night. His bright eyes searched the shadows until they fell upon the form sitting on a stone, staring down the path towards the Temple of the Zamphirs. She didn't appear menacing, but then, looks could be deceiving. Arlo approached her with caution, but not with fear.

"Excuse me, Miss, are you alright?"

Suddenly tearing herself from her thoughts she rose swiftly, facing the intruder with fierce eyes. She cursed inwardly for letting someone sneak up on her that way. It was most unbecoming of a Huntress. How shamed her mother would be! Seeing the Angelic for what he was, she relaxed from her battle-ready stance, though she remained alert. Perhaps she was a bit more on edge than normal, being so close - and so far - from her home. She let out a slow, controlled breath before answering. "I'm fine, thank you. But what are you doing lurking out here at night? Zamphirs train nearby. It's not the safest of roads." She wasn't particularly worried about the male. He had an aura of goodness to him, and the zamphirs were huntresses of evil. Even if she felt there HAD been any real danger, she would likely have let him be on his way regardless, but tonight she suddenly felt very alone and vulnerable. Though she'd never let that seep through her veil of indifference, she hoped the male would stay with her a while to keep her company.

She leaned back against the rock she'd previously been sitting on, looking curiously at the angelic before her. He almost looked as lost as she felt, and it brought a slight smile to her lips. "Are you in a hurry to get where you're going?"

He almost took a step back as she stood and turned on him with fierce eyes, but it faded so quickly that he didn't really have a chance to. As she calmed down, he saw a softness in her eyes that he was surprised to see there, almost a vulnerability. It seemed improbable that this Goddess would feel vulnerable though; it must have been a trick of the moonlight. Pushing his long braid over his shoulder, he took in her words, making sure she was done speaking before he dared to. Arlo was not fool enough to interrupt a God or Goddess.

"I am well aware what goes on near here; it happens to also be the way to my home in the mortal plane." For a moment he paused, looking down the path. There was no particular rush for him to get home, and if this lovely Goddess wished his company, who was he to deny her? "And, no, I have no great need to be home." As he spoke, he began to toy with the pendant around his neck, a habit of his he never seemed to be able to break. Looking up again, he noticed the small smile on her lips, and his own broadened a little bit. It was always good to see another smiling.

No great need to be home... The words stuck with her a moment and she turned to gaze back down the path to the Zamphir temple. "You live nearby, you said?" She rested her cheek against her hand and her elbow on her arm as she stood, thinking. She wasn't sure why, but suddenly she very much wanted to talk about the home she'd left. She'd never been one to share anything of herself with others, but in the company of this stranger she found herself needing to tell her story. Perhaps it was loneliness that drove her. Perhaps it was the hope to find a connection with someone, rather than the meaningless flings she'd carelessly put herself through. Whatever it was, she began talking.

"Down there," she nodded towards the temple, "Is where I call home, though it has been a long time since I've been there." There was sadness to her voice, but she kept going. "It is my Mother's Temple, which is where I grew up with my brother Tihamar." She paused a moment, realizing she'd never offered her name. She turned to the angelic again, offering her hand. "I am Eriannia, though Tiha calls me Eri. I suppose that could do for you as well." She offers him a smile. "What may I call you?"
