Black paws wiggled a little in the mud that the small lioness was current plasted with. She had been on her own since she was really small. The little lionees mewed out hungrily. It had been several days since she had last had a meal and several more before that for actually having clean water. She wasn't the point of dieing she was just weak.
She forced her legs to carry her a little further that is when she came to a small pound. Her eyes opened widely as she saw clean fresh water. She stumbled over to it rather clumsy from her excitement. She collapsed at the bank as she began to drink her fill before panting heavily once she was done trying to catch her breath. She then looked at her pelt before looking to the water it looked safe enough. She moved into the water slowly as she scooted closer and closer into the water.
She then began to clean her pelt up getting it perfectly clean. She smiled as she moved over to large bolder. She stretched out on the rock getting a good doze of sunbathing. She let out a small happy mew as her tail flicked behind her.

Faiz walked along in the relatively cool day, his eldest son at his side. He liked to switch things up, giving his sons equal time with him when he did his daily patrol of the borders. It was every male's duty, after all, to protect the pride from outsiders who would wish harm to them or their ways. And if they came across a female that had stumbled onto their lands, well... All the better for the pride. He certainly didn't need anymore females in his harem, and he did not much approve of his sons gaining females solely through gifts. One, was acceptable, but anymore was wrong. They needed to earn them.
"It's a fine day, isn't it, Ilyas?" he asked, glancing down at the young male cub. Neither of his sons really looked like he did, though Ilyas was the closest in coloring. Both had their mother's marks on their backs, Zeki carried his general coat pattern, but it was Ilyas that carried the colors he had gotten from his mother, and the blue eyes of the royal line.
It was Ilyas' ambition that astounded him. It wasn't a trait that he or Tuliua carried, that was certain. Faiz had only strived to become Vizier so that he could please his father after Aali was born, and to aid his brother when he became Sultan. He was quite content with just being a normal Pad, if it wasn't for that.
He was so lost in his thoughts that he missed the young lioness curled up on a rock not far ahead.

Ilyas was happy - he was patrolling with his father, instead of that stupid stinky-butt of a brother. Ilyas had the tendency to feel a little rejected at times - his father always seemed to be patrolling with Zeki, and even Uncle Aali had picked favourites. He'd given Zeki the pretty girl, not him! And he was eldest - therefore he should get the priviledges and rights that Zeki didn't get! It was so...so UNFAIR! He wanted to scream and rip at something just to get his anger out. But he couldn't - he was a boy, and boys weren't supposed to show such weak signs.
Hmm? Wide blue eyes looked up to his father as he commented on the day, and Ilyas gave an eager nod, a smile on his face as he turned back to watch...WOA! WHAT WAS THAT!? Stopping in his tracks, the lion cub blinked several times, unable to believe what he was seeing. It was...it was a girl! A pretty girl! Sitting there, on the rock! He pouded to catch up with his father, tugging on his tail with his teeth as he bounced about excited.
"Papa, Papa! Look look LOOK! It's a girl! Oh please please please can I capture her!? I need to be better than Zeki, 'cause I'm older!"

The little lioness silver eyes looked over to the small commotion but the grass was in her way. She let out a small huff as she stretched out before jumping down off her perch to go find some food now that her coat was dry. Well she was about to still she noticed her fur was all messed up. Being the little princess she was in her mind of course she began to pamper herself grooming her fur till it laid where it needed to be. Her black gloved paws wiggled about a little musing the dirt under neither them. That's when her nose caught scent of something interesting.
"...Males?" She murmured softly as she moved back to the rock she was on getting ontop of it to get a beet look as she was the two males. One was an adult then other was just a cub and they had clearly noticed her now. The cub seem excited about something she could tell he was a great deal younger then herself with his smaller frame. She gave a small giggle watching him what looked to be spazzing.
Hopping off the rock she began to slowly make her way to the two her tail resting lowly her ears alter and listing to ever detail they could catch. She was curious about them and the makes on the little cub intrigued her she wanted to know why he was to well swirly?

Faiz looked down at Ilyas with a frown. Yes, he had now noticed the little female, but it was his son's words that gave him pause. "Ilyas, that is not a good reason for you wanting a female for your harem. I didn't compete with Aali, did I? You and your brother will both be Pads in this pride and if you both choose to become Viziers, then you can compete. Until then, I don't want to here you saying you need to be better than your brother, whether you're older or not." Yes, he knew he was lecturing, but he needed Ilyas to understand. There was no difference between him and Zeki. If they were sons of the sultan, then, yes, there would be. But they were not. They weren't even the sons of a Beybanu. That didn't mean he cared less for them, but by the laws of the pride, it meant they were no better than any other male pride-member of a pure feline species.
That said, he looked to the little female and slowly sat down. "Come here, little one. We won't hurt you," he said pleasantly, his voice calm. He didn't want to startle her, after all. And he wasn't lying. He had learned long ago how to capture females without hurting them. Younger females were even easier.

Ilyas looked up at his father with wide, surprised eyes. Why was he getting told off!? Surely it was Uncle Aali that should be told off, for picking stinky Zeki as his favourite! "But...But it's so unfair! How come Uncle Aali likes him best!?" Ilyas growled, before realizing his mistake, bottom lip quivering in the danger sign of tears as he dropped his head, mumbling an apology, "...Sorry Papa."
He looked up with renewed interest, though, as Faiz called to the girl, not wanting to say anything incase he scared her. The tears were gone, though, and a wide grin was on his face as he tried to look as tough as he could - she'd have to choose him!

Light silver eyed where full f interest as she jumped off her rock and began to pad over to the two lions. She stopped just a ways before them still curiously to know what they where doing. Yes she could believe they where not going to hurt her but she was not that naive. She had heard many tale of lion's luring in females as well as their prey to get what they wanted.
Finally her eyes moved away from the older male looking to the cub. He was well charming to put simply the way he stood there all cute and goofy like with his large curious eyes and wide grin.
"H...hello." She said softly rather meekly as she turned her eyes from the cub blushing just a little.

Faiz sighed and shook his head slowly. How could he explain that to Ilyas that he was wrong? "Ilyas, your uncle does not like Zeki more. Let's talk about this later," he finally said and returned his attention to the young female. The poor thing looked worn, as if she had been on her own for a while. That was so wrong. Females needed to be protected and guarded as they grew, carefully taught how to hunt and be proper banu. "You look worn, little one. Where are your parents?" Concern fell from his words like rain. He'd already made up his mind that he'd be taking her in. Whether she was on her own, or if her parents were just neglectful he didn't know and didn't care. In his mind, she was better off in the Ukuucha.

Later...Papa always said that, but then he got busy and it never happened. Sighting softly, Ilyas nodded, instead turning his attention to the female before him. He blinked softly, staying where he was as his father approached her, craning his neck to look around. He took note of how his father addressed her, the concern in his voice. Was this how Papa had gotten Mama too? Ilyas didn't speak, just watched with wide eyes.

She looked from both father and son for several moments before she took a weak little breath as she looked at her black gloved paws. "I...Um well I don't have anyone." She said as her ears flattened against her head lowering it a little. She was ashamed to admit she was alone and could not provide for herself like she should. She was weak almost sickly but it was nothing that a good meal and a bath wouldn't cure.
She then opened her light colored eyes looking to the lion curiously. "I don't know where my Momma or Papa are. I woke up one more and I was able to see things and that's about the time I noticed I was alone." She said softly looking to the ground once more. It was amazing that the little cub like her had survived this long.
"But I'm okay really." she said softly beaming a big smile as she giggled a little her tail flicking behind her. "I have this bunny friend that helped me out now and then. I tried to eat her but then she started talk to me and told me she knew of better things for me to eat then her. She lead me to this land where there's things you can steal easily from leopard that take their things into the trees drooping bits and piece to the ground." she sid with a few nods here and there.

Faiz frowned sadly at the little lioness. No cub, male or female, should have to deal with something like that, to have a hare! teach them how to scavenge for food. If he wasn't worried she'd bolt and he'd have chase her down, he would have reached out a paw and stroked her head. Instead, his face softened to concern and his head tilted to one side.
"You can come back home with us. We live in a good place where there's always plenty of food. My mates can teach you how to hunt properly and you'll have Ilyas and his brother and sisters to play with if you wish," he offered gesturing to his son. Whether she wanted to or not, she would be coming back with them. He just figured it would be better to give her the choice first.

( Going to go ahead and jump in with the last post. Hope you don't mind. *luffs on both* )
Mirima looking to the two males a moment before moving a little closer curiously. They smelt clean and weird like they where part of a big family. This brought a smile to her face as she looked to the younger male a moment.
"You'll play with me?" She said brightly she never really had a play mate before and with the options she was being given how could she refuse. She looked to the older male nodding softly.
"Okay I go with you." She said sweetly as she her tail began to flick in delight behind her as she began to follow them back to their home. Here eyes where always wide with curiosity her tail almost danced now behind with with all the sights and smells. That's when it happened she smelt food. She let out a pleased sound and she knew...She knew she was home.
