Well what I usually do when I'm trying to think of a title is go to my over all point of the story, or the theme. For example I'm working on one short story about religion and how you can't exactly rely on God to have all the answers for you. I ended up calling it The True Hands of Fate, and used that phrase a few times. So if you have a theme you're going for then I would say try to name your piece after that. But if you're writing about an experience, maybe name the story after the emotions you were feelings or the emotions others were feeling. Maybe you can even come up with one word that sums up the moment?
