One more question. Does the Sim have to be on the ground or can they be on a patio of sorts?

Anywhere, so long as it is outside. They can be on the ground, on a foundation/patio, up a 5 story tower (look at the Curious house in Strangetown). Anywhere outside.

I've yet to be crushed by a meteor. I don't want to boolprop it, 'cause that's one thing that I want to happen on its own, but man can it take a long time. That and I get tired of telling them to watch clouds constantly.

Once, once, it happened to me. I had a family of four, (mom, dad, grandma, child) and the Grandma was in the red. I sent her out to look at the clouds cuz it was a want and she was crushed.

I was very sad.

I'm making my Sims watch clouds and stars more often.
