NAME: Alexis Takamari

SPECIALTY Sword on sword combat/mental battles/toying with others minds+emotions to make them weaker and the battle end in her favour.
ELEMENT: Earth. Each item gives off a hum, and that gives her the ability to see. [Look at history] She also can control the earth, such as trees, vines, other for the most part.

HISTORY:
When Alexis was an infant, she lived in the better part of the rukon. One night the slums attacked and her people were murdered, slaughtered even. Her mother, her father, her brothers and sisters, all lost. She was saved by the blacksmith down the lane before a slum could kill her. He brought her back to his forge, and raised her as his own daughter. As Alexis grew the forger taught her how to read, write, speak and by the age of thirteen, the basics of forging. For Alexis's sixteenth birthday, the forger asked permission from one of his friends in the thirteen protection squads. He was given permission and Alexis entered the world of the living. Not long after she settled in the house she would stay in, she was attacked by a hollow. She fought as hard as she could to get away, but was no match for the she-hollow. This hollow deemed herself as the love hollow. The hollow would take beautiful women, put them under her control and use them to lure men’s souls to her. It was almost a year now that Alexis had done this for it, and the hollow let Alexis go, but with a curse and blindness. The hollow spilled her poison into her eyes, thus blinding her. The curse she laid upon her is that for every man she came to love, he would love her back with a deep passion. This would continue for three months before another man came into her life, and they would love one another equally well. Once the men would find out about echo her, they would fight and kill one another, leaving Alexis to weep with a shattered heart.

Alexis returned to her father, telling him the news of what happened. , why she was blind and so on. He said he was happy he taught her all he knew of forging before she went blind, but he had great sorrow within. Alexis, fifteen years later, started forging her own blade. She collected her life savings and went to where the forgers for the Zamputo’s were, and asked them to teach her how to make one. They agreed and she made a very fine blade indeed. [Explained in Blade appearance] After she created her blade, she returned home and her father, now frail and old, told her everything. How he was not really her father, and how he saved her. Alexis did not hate him for this but loved him even more. He taught her the rudiments of fighting, for he had been in the thirteen squads before, but left when the new captains were appointed. He taught her all he could then told her to practice every morning on top of the far hill. She did every morning, and after her warm-ups, someone would spar with her. Fixing her stance and helping with her speed and agility. By the time Tanya’s looks aged to about nineteen, she stayed that appearance for many a year, the forger told her. One day he grew sick and the healers could not help him. They said he had cancer in his brain and heart, and nothing could save him in this world or the other world. Therefore, the forger died, and the entire village wept. For years, Tanya kept the forge running, but times grew hard and she had to sell the business. Thankfully, the buyer was a kind rich man, and let her keep her job. She hired an apprentice and taught him how to forge. Forty years later the boy had mastered it, and the quality of his work almost matched Alexis’s when she was at that age. She left the forge in high care, deciding to join the school for Shinigami. The others would tease her about being blind, and how she would often clip the doors and desks. The school was so noisy with the hum of the earth, and the people’s spiritual pressure. She surpassed all the classes with exceptionally high marks, with an exception to kido, and kept it secret. She let the people think that she was stupid, and when they called her name for ‘graduating with astounding grades’ her teacher had said, she made a speech. To all of you who thought I was no good at sparring, at learning and at anything else at life, to those who thought I was the worth of mud, I have graduated above most of you. A blind girl, and most likely to become a high ranked officer. She walked off the stage with a roar of applause, and the angry shouts of people whom she had spoken to. Nobody but the teachers and those of her village knew she was blind, but she had become someone many looked up upon. Some recommend her as captain, for her great fighting abilities and her abundance of spiritual pressure, but Tanya laughed with them and said that she isn’t good at giving orders, let alone take them very well.

ZAMPUCTO NAME: Turenai Tsuchi [crimson earth]


ZAMPUCTO APPERANCE:
BLADE: Alexis’s blade is like no others I assure you. Its blade is mostly black with the faintest strip of white at the bottom, and it shines like the stars in a moonless night. It was thin enough to slice in between a persons ribs, yet strong enough that you could heat it up, place it in ice water, the pound on it with fierce blows without it being shattered, let alone cracked. The blade construction was slightly different. Yes, the metal was melted; moulded, forged to the normal standards, but then Alexis took it and grated it down to small chips. She collected every piece then put it in with the pidgin mix, then fed it to the pidgins she had kept. She would then wash the dung off the shillings, but took care to wash nothing else. The process was then repeated, forged, shaved then fed to the pidgins, for another forty years before she went into the academy. The hilt is simple. Its guard is a thick plate of steel dipped in silver, [for appeal and protection] and the hilt itself is nothing but a crimson wrap, identical to the colour of her sheath.

SHEATH: Alexis’s sheath is simple. It’s long and wide enough to hold her blade, but its colour and design is unique. Imagine yourself pricking your finger on a sharp object, and a single drop of blood oozes out. Take note of the red. It is a rich colour yet it is slightly bright and very dark at the same time. Imagine that as the base, and it being polished many times over, and not that red hilt gleams. Now the silver design at the bottom. It spirals around the sheath until it’s about a quarter of the way up, but the strands are loose and not woven together tightly, but like a wandering path. The same pattern is repeated at the mouth of the sheath but only goes down one tenth of the way. This metal is silver coloured and it too, gleams like the red base.

Zampucto Releases

Shikai One - Tanya’s first release is not that grand. Her blade only glows a slight red colour, and it calls for blood. All she does is ask for a little of power, and uses it in her battle. Its call is 'Demolish with grace Turenai Tsuchi!’

Shikai Two - This is what her first Shikai should be. It starts of as an explosion of spiritual pressure and a blinding flash. Once it resides Tanya changes. Her right side of her body [Right hand is Zampucto hand] is covered in black vine like things, coming in or out of her body to/from her Zampucto. No one has figured it out, and neither has Tanya. Her Foggy eyes become clear for she can see with eyes. Now her attacks are more accurate, stronger, and it seems as if she has lost her mind during the battle. She explains to all of the people she has fought and beaten, that there is no such thing as limits to fighting, just walls they have to break through. Its call is 'Demolish with grace and leave no remains. Dance Turenai Tsuchi!’
