DESCRIPTION: A strange prescence that pulses with an otherworldly energy. You feel a slight pressure building in your chest as you approach. It looks like a castle, but it's too old and destroyed to tell for sure. Just what was this place?


TERRAIN EFFECTS: All magic users gain +20 in Magic Stat. But sometimes the power of this place is too much, and they will randomly be stunned.

Chapter 1-2: New Powers

Isaac, Amy, and Arkken and his group were walking across the Ghazac Plains, on their way to the contract location.

"It's too bad Captain Davis won't be here," Isaac whined, "I wanted to show him how much stronger i've become,"

"You haven't gotten any stronger, silly!" Amy scolded, "Nothing happened between now and yesterday when we trained!"

"...Shut up," Isaac grumbled, "Anyway, we need to meet somebody named... Rita Mordio. Whoever that is,"

"I'm right here!" Called a snappy voice.

That startled everyone. Isaac almost dropped his contract, "Woah! You startled us!" he exclaimed.

Rita looked over the group, "Huh? This is it? YOU are the Surreal Guardians?"

"Well..." Amy started, "We're part of them. We're the detachment that took this mission..."

"Ugh! If you all had been a little stronger looking..." Rita said, but shrugged, "Whatever. I'm Rita Mordio. I contracted you."

"I'm Isaac," Isaac introduced, a little annoyed at this person's attitude.

"I'm Amy, pleased to meet you," Amy introduced, "In truth, our captain cannot make it here, so I apologize for the inconvienence,"

"Arkken," Arkken said, looking at Rita with an expression indicating a great amount of distaste.

"I would be Mirana." Mirana managed to keep her appearance in check, but it was clear from the stiffnes of her voice, as she introduced herself to Rita, that she was not happy about the way they were being treated by their contractor.

Louis appeared about ready to explode as it became his turn to introduce himself. Arkken, seeing this, quickly clapped a hand over his mouth. "This would be my squad's youngest member, Louis. He has a habit of saying rather odd things when he speaks, so we typically don't let him."

Isaac, Amy, and Rita were all staring at Louis, a puzzled expression on all their faces. Rita more than the others, since she was the most confused.

Finally, she huffed and said, "Fine, whatever. Let's go! I need to study something over here..."

The party escorted Rita to the destination: a ruined fortress.

"...Woah..." Isaac said, "Is this for real? This place is massive!"

Suddenly, everyone in the group felt a pressure building in their chest! It was so great that it stopped everyone but Rita in their tracks.

"...Woah!"Isaac said, "This... what is this?!?"

Looking around, it seemed that himself, Mirana, and Louis were most affected by it. Amy, Arkken, and Rita seemed to take it much easier. Is it because they are all magic users...?

"Ouch.. I feel pressure..." Isaac complained.

Rita nodded, "Yep. This place is pulsing with Aer. I can feel it."

"Air?" Isaac asked, "What are you talking about? Air can't pulse,"

"Not air, you idiot! Aer!" Rita snapped.

"I still don't understand what you're talking about!" Isaac said, "And don't call me an idiot! I know what air is, and you're freaking out over nothing!"

"Wait," Amy said, "What do you mean by Aer? It seems you know something we don't. Would you explain please?"

Rita looked at the group for a second, then snapped her fingers, "Of course," she thought out loud, "People in this world probably don't know what Aer is, or maybe they've got another word for it..."

"...Huh?" Isaac and Amy asked together, "Another... world? You an alien or something?"

((Sure thing. Let's just move along to the fight. Arkken and Mirana would be totally quiet by now anyway, and Louis can't really talk, so...))

Rita ignored Isaac's question and marched the party onward. Reaching the interior of the fortress, they looked around, "So... what are we looking for?"

Suddenly, the ground lurched. All the non-magic user, who didn't see this coming, were knocked off their feet. Scrabling back up, Isaac watched as Rita pointed at what they were looking for, "Alright, then. Here's the guard of this place, I'm sure of it! Look! There's a Blastia on it's back!"

"Blastia? What the hell are you talking about?" Isaac demanded.

"No time! Here it comes!" Rita shouted.
