Her eyes glittered as she watched her brother’s mind dance in his eyes. He seemed to take a liking to the idea of train together to hunt. Bettering each other instead of hiding away to train. She knew her brother was one of those lions and she knew it would take him so much longer to get where he wants to be because of it. This would be her wait to help him, a gift from her to him. A strengthening of bonds as well.
Smiling at her brother she nodded, “Oh course brother Aziz would be able to teach me things! He is smart and tough!” Her eyes were closed now as she smiled widely, excited the idea had come to her when it did. “Well… I was thinking. Maybe we could toss that stick over there, it will help us learn to move quickly to catch things, allow us to become nimble.”
Her fur was starting to burn with heat though, she had stayed out far too long and now the sun was cooking her alive. Looking up towards the sky she cursed it mentally before padding over to the stick. She would take it for later, just in case.
Receiving the soft nudge she looked to her brother again, the knotted branch near her feet she bent to pick it up but hesitated. She was getting dizzy just standing there, in the hot, hot sun. Shaking her head in an attempt to ride herself of the nausea it only caused it to get worse. No… she would have to wait till the sun got lower in the sky, it was too hot for her now. “…I…” She caught the words he brother spoke, they made her heart flutter, but she didn’t want to speak, her body felt too ill to do so, but her mind told her it would be rude not to respond in thanks.
“Thanks brother..” She muttered, taking a seat on the ground near his shadow. “Maybe… we should wait to practice though. It is so… hot.”

Aziz'Din's chest puffed out at her compliment, proud that she would think such a thing of him. From anyone else, he would worry that they were just trying to make him feel good but Shahla didn't seem the type to lie, especially not to him. Glancing at the stick she had suggested, his eyes lit up at the idea. Moving towards the stick with Shahla, he was excited to try.
His coat was lighter than Shahla's, so he didn't feel the heat as severely as his little sister did. Sure, he was starting to warm up but it wasn't extremely hot, just unpleasantly warm. He barely noticed in his excitement that she wasn't feeling well, though when she seemed to wobble.
"Shahla?" He asked, frowning in concern. He moved towards her, panicking when she took a seat in his shadow. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"
He gently nudged her, surprised at the heat clinging to her coat. "You should go back to the den. You're going to pass out here. Silly! Why didn't you say anything earlier?"
He felt guilty that he hadn't noticed it earlier. A good Pad should have noticed that his Banu was feeling bad, or that she was overheating. He cursed himself, moving further into the sun to block more of the heat from hitting her fur any more.

Shahla looked up at him, managing a smile. She really hadn't noticed until just then. Almost as if the heat had sucker punched her in the back of the head. She would have to be more careful about the heat and sun next time, she didn't want to worry her brother like she was now. Slowly wobbling her way to a standing position, Shahla, looked towards the den, she could almost feel the soothing coolness from where she stood.
"I am sorry Brother Aziz. I didn't.... notice until just now." She didn't look at him because she was ashamed to do so, to worry him as she had, but still... "I shall go back to the den now, to rest and get better so we can practice our training together. Yeah?" She smiled, yeah, she wanted to do that, she just had to wait until the head left her body.
Padding towards the den she look back at her brother, smiling, her eye lids were droopy from how quickly the energy was sapped from her but she still move forwards, towards the safety of the den. "Nap time..." She whispered and entered the den, collapsing as soon as she felt the coolness of the shade.

Aziz'Din watched her go with a frown on his face. He knew she hadn't been suffering from the heat for a long time but he still should have noticed. Following a little way behind her, he made sure she got to the den alright and had settled down before he moved off again.
It felt wrong to continue to practice while she wasn't there, so he didn't go back to his spot. Instead, he moved off to watch the pride, choosing a spot in the shade so he wouldn't be overheated when Shahla was ready to practice again. Curling up on his favourite watching rock, he rested his head on his paws and stared at the pride.
One day he'd be part of it, a crucial part of it, and Shahla was going to help him be the best he could be. He would help her too, if he could. She would be the best Banu and he would be the best Pad, and they would make their father proud.
