Why is it the older weapons that have stoppping power?

Actually if I recall the weight of the meini ball helped it's accuracy by giving it more momentum.

I've been told time and time again that it helped accuracy because the design helped it to better grip the grooves of rifling.

Then again, my teachers are full of a lot of s**t a lot of the time. xp

The design was also more aerodynamic cutting wind resistance considerably.

This topic reminds me of the old stories where all the cops in the city were given a box of .38 special and they would cut the tips off the bullets to make their own hollowpoints. Nobody seemed to care because that's the way things were and they didn't have the computers and ballistics to figure it out.

I had heard the tail end expands slightly to fit the rifling, yeah.
