Kova let out a small grumble of a yawn. It was morning and he wasn't that sure of how awake he was. The sun was starting to stream into the den. He hated the sun in the morning. He wasn't that sure why he always slept toward the front of the den though! It almost never made sense. Then again he was so weird some times. He was okay with it, he knew he had to wake up. He looked around the den and noticed his two brothers still in the den, sleeping on top of each other. Those two were so close. He wished he had a twin some times. His sister and his mother and father must had already been out and about that day. He laughed slightly, he wasn't going to bother with waking up his brothers. He decided to wander away and find something else to do that day.
He stood up and stretched out before looking around. Flicking his hair out of his eyes before stepping forward a bit, a smile growing on his face and he started to wander toward the lake. It was a good place to start mornings. He knew that for a fact. He loved to go there and start his morning with wading around in the water, checking out some shells and some other trinkets that he could find at the shore. Some times he'd give them to his mom so she could show the little ones how to decorate a drum. He had seen a lot of the trinkets he found hanging proudly off of the younger cub's necks. It made him smile a lot.
He dragged himself toward the water of the lake. Leaving footprints in the black sand as he walked. A soft smile was on his face. He looked into the water closing his eyes and breathing the air around him. He felt pretty happy to be around here right now. So happy.

 Already about the lakeside Gharadi stood, delicate neck arching gracefully down from her shoulders to the green tuft about her head as she lapped the cold, clean water. Her voice a steady hum between swallows the huntress looked out across the lake. She hadn't slept the night before, no! She had been too full of energy, boundless and itching to be spent. So while most of the pride slept calmly in their dens the oddly-coloured female was hunting by the stars. Even if she had caught nothing more than a small hare, it wasn't about the prey she'd caught.
It was about the fun of it.
Ears twitched delicately, and with water streaming down her neck the lioness looked away from the picturesque landscape, grey eyes wide with a second high. Someone else was enjoying the early morning as well, judging by the slight smile and posture. Mirroring it with her own toothy grin, she began over to Kova. What was this landscape when compared to it shared with another?

Kova was pretty caught up in his thoughts, his eyes were still closed, he wasn't really worried about opening them right away. He knew this pride very good, just as good as he knew his markings and his size. Like the back of his paw so to say. He chuckled at that idea before a scent drifted into his nose. One that he had smelt before. It was another pride member for sure. Not part of his family but one that was around here just as much. He opened his eyes and looked in the direction it was coming from, a green lioness was coming his way. "Hello Gharadi!" He called out with a small chuckle.
He started to trot closer to the lioness before bowing ever so slightly and nodding toward her with a smile. "It's a beautiful morning." He chuckled slightly before leaning in and nuzzling her in a friendly way. He wasn't afraid of doing it. He knew that a lot of the other pride members were just as friendly as he was. "It's nice to see you out here. You enjoying the morning and the water too?" He asked with a grin growing on his face, before flicking his hair out of his eyes again.

Curious as to his morning meditation the lion trotted across the black sand towards him, though did not call out if it would break his concentration and leave her in an awkward position. Yet that was averted when he turned to meet her and called her by name, her smile breaking into a large grin as he came near.
"Kova! Yes, it is." She cooed happily in reply, tail giving a pleased flicker as she bumped his chin playfully. As she moved back her light eyes danced giddily, the effects of her night-time romp apparent in her loose stance but not in her face. "I am indeed, especially after a full night about." Gharadi grinned, seating herself back on her haunches.
"I never knew you as a morning person, though. Of course, who am I to talk?" Her voice had a chirruping, bird-like quality to it, and her laugh high. It was hardly a secret that she wasn't up at least till midmorning, though with the sights and smells of the fresh day, she may have to change her sleeping schedule. The near quiet was clean and nice.

Kova couldn't help but to chuckle some before nodding toward her and then flicking his hair out of his eyes. "Well I'm glad to say that I would really love to spend the rest of this lovely morning with you!" He flashed her a major grin before purring just slightly. He gave her a quick bow then sat up a little straighter. "Busy night huh?" He chuckled slightly before he shook his head a bit smiling a bit at her. "You should take me out on one of your night time adventures. I don't get to see the night scene I have no one to go out with." He laughed slightly before looking around.
"Ah, just about my entire family is." He laughed slightly then bumped into her again. "It's really nice around this time. Gives you a chance for quiet and even a chance to think." He laughed slightly before turning toward her with a smile still on his face. "What have you been up to?" He asked with a nod before looking around. "I haven't seen you around much. Then again. I normally have my head in the clouds." He laughed at himself before flicking his tial around and then settling down on his haunches next to her.

"Since you asked so nicely..." The female teased, easily falling into his infectious happiness. "I think I may be to make some time for you." Gharadi giggled, tail flickering pleasantly like a metronome behind her as she sat. Their combined energy at one point must have been purely criminal considering the early hour.
"I'd be honoured to go out with you sometime. It really is a different world at night. But be plenty rested for the trip." The lioness nodded seriously, remembering numerous times during the darkened hours when she would nod off almost mid-step. Should she go again, she'd have to remember that herself. Giving a soft yawn at the thought, Gharadi shook her head awake, blinking away the loose strands of fur from her mane out of her face.
At least she didn't have a full mane, the lioness thought as Kova moved towards her, giving a playful bat to his nose as he moved to sit beside her. "Then you're the exact opposite of mine." She laughed, shaking her head. His next question made her curious. What really had she been doing? Nothing highly important, like Kova's mother must've as Umshayi Wesigubhu. One day she would do something like that, but for now she was just contented to hunt and watch her family. "Nothing much, really. Pride duties, of course." The female added proudly, nodding towards him. "And of course you know what I'm going to ask next. Besides walking about without noticing much." She laughed.

Kova noticed the female was being quiet cheery herself. He stood up a little more before nodding toward her and smirking. "Well I'm glad that you would consider it." He flicked his tail around a little bit then yawned a bit, after she did. They were just as infectious as the mood that was going on here. He quietly chuckled at himself and at the thought before glancing at the lioness and giving her another smile and a nod. "I think I'd be even more honored to go out with you one night." He streched one of his limbs out then looked at her. "It sound likes a plan that we should do some time."
He laughed and nipped at her paw as she batted at him. "Well I guess I am." He then smirked slightly nipping at her ear. "Opposites attract." One could say that Kova was a bit of a flirt some times. It ran in his family. Or at least on his mothers's side. It skipped a generation but he knew for a fact that his grandfather was a flirt and had tons of children and grandmother also got around a bit but his mother on the other hand settled down right away and was never more happy. However he liked to flirt, he liked to flirt a lot and quiet frankly Gharadi was a very beautiful lioness, and they weren't related she was a little older but it wouldn't hurt.
He laughed slightly and nodded. "Everyone seems to be a little caught up in their prideal duties." He chuckled slightly before dropping to the ground, sneezing as some of the dirt that flew out from under him got in his nose. He laughed at himself before poking her with a paw. "Not many get a chance to dance around and have fun. Or at least they don't take a chance to. No matter how busy my mom is she always finds a chance to play with my father." He smiled at that idea, they were so great for each other, and even though they were older they loved to romp around just like they were cubs.
He let out another laugh before smiling up at her. "Nothing much really. Dancing, learning, and even teaching some times. Wandering around and meeting others too." He nodded at the idea then smirked as an idea ran through his head. He sat up quickly, his face soon very close to hers, almost nose to nose, he smirked before closing the space in between them and bumping noses with her, before chirping. "You're it!" He was on his feet quickly, dashing down the shore of the lake, pausing for a moment to look back and see if she was coming.

Gharadi gave an almost ecstatic nod. "Whenever you like." She smiled easily, though were she more 'adult' in her actions she would've understood the double-meaning that could be taken behind it as well as his flirtatious attitude towards her.
For the lioness, she saw it as nothing more than playful teasing, and reacted to it as such. Giving a little yip of over-exaggerated surprise she pulled her paw back, though it quickly darted out once more to prod him in the chest. What harm was a little playing?
"That must be nice." She mused to herself more than anything, tail swinging about her body to wrap around her left leg. When she saw her mother and father she imagined them as one lion, sides pressed as they walked, tails entangled and paws stepping on rhythm together. They loved each other, had raised a healthy set of cubs and made their way into the pride. The need to pair up, even if it was purely biological. She was young, but old enough for mother nature to start dropping her hints. Gharadi knew love was something nice.
"Well, there's nothing wrong with them. Everyone has their jobs and I rather-" But her words were left hanging, ears pulled forwards and the female watching agape and Kova raced away. Oh! Tag! The lioness' open-mouthed smile pulled full across her muzzle and she roused her weary body to set after him. She was stocky and broad in stature, no whisp of a lion, but no less speedy!

Kova chuckled slightly and nodded toward the lioness he nipped at her gently. "One night I'll find you then we can go out and cause some terror hm?" He smirked again before laughing slightly, flicking his hair out of his eyes then letting out a small yawn. He flicked his hair out of his eyes and then laughed at the poke that she did. He let out a playful growl in response before nodding slightly. "It is nice." To a point even Kova wanted to pair up but at the moment he wasn't that sure of what he wanted to do. Did he want to be like his mother and settle down right away or did he want to have a little fun like his aunt and grandma. He wasn't exactly sure.
He flicked his tail arond before grinning at her, he was excited to see that she was fine with playing tag. He was a little surprised, he thought that she wasn't going to be into it and just look at her weird. But he was glad that she was fine with it. "Come on!" He called out with a smile before he started to run a little faster.
