Does anyone know how to set up a contest

Alright I see ALL over Gaia contests, where the person is like

"Oh hey, I'm so and so, this is who I am, and I'm questing a -insert item here- and I want donations!" and they get donations -_- yet they have a contest

-____- explain the logic of this, and how I can set one up, because I do have 4 sealed letters for this month that I'd gladly part with, for donations.

1. Start a group.
2. Make the group's entry fee be 1000g
3. Each member gets and additional 250g for every person they get to join.
4. Let it grow huuuuge.
5. When things get heated or uncertain, give all your cash and possessions to several mule accounts and claim being hacked by someone.
6. Delete account, then repeat as necessary.
