It's not that hard to find a job right now, if you're not picky. Especially this time of the year.
Just apply for Christmas relief, if all else fails.
I found a job in a small town with only four businesses, all of which have too many employees. I think other people can manage.

animal control services, kennels, veterinary hospitals and SPCA's are all looking for employees. also data entry, filing and paper pushing is all open.

tech support. you get laid off every couple months, and need to get certifications, but the pay sucks.
