Zarha nodded and trotted over to Anwar. He was quite different than her brother, much less concerned for her well being. He even followed her instructions without bringing up her gender. She found it a little strange to be in charge of a male for once, a little exciting and even a little bit frightening, but these were all feelings she enjoyed.

When Anwar closed his eyes she put her paws on his shoulders and started to spin him around as fast as she could. After she'd spun him five times she let go and ran into the circle, spinning around to face him with a great big smile on her face. Now she waited for him to call to her.

Anwar had no objections to letting someone else take charge, no matter who they were or what rank they had. Not so long as there was something he might gain from it. Perhaps in the future things would change, but right now it seemed that learning something new was worth whatever or whoever he had to put up with. And, really, Zarha wasn't so bad at all.

He shut his eyes, and was about to start turning himself in the five circles he was supposed to go in when he felt paws on his shoulders. He tensed, about to open his eyes, but quelled the instinct. Zarha had said he was supposed to be spun, not that he was supposed to spin himself. Though, granted, he might have been less dizzy if he'd done it himself.

Wobbling slightly to one side, Anwar found his footing on the apparently shifting ground. Maybe it was just as well his eyes were shut. The world spinning might've had him flat on his face. And now he was supposed to catch her somehow, right?

"Asiee," he called out, somewhat tentatively, his head cocked in hopes that it would help him hear her better.

Zarha called back with "Ati!" and started to move away from him around the circle, keeping her front to him at all times so she could see where she was going. Almost immediately she came up with a new idea. If the boundary was a square instead of a circle it would be a lot more difficult for the ati to avoid being boxed in, and that could make the game more interesting. She smiled at herself. Now she was glad that Anwar wanted to play the game with just the two of them first, because it gave her a new idea.

Anwar's ears swiveled towards her voice as she responded to his call, but he stayed where he was for a moment. Now that she'd responded, she would surely move away. To make it harder for him to catch her. She seemed far to clever to stay in one place. So he waited, ears straining for the sound of pawsteps. Slowly, not turning his head though his ears moved slightly, he lowered himself into a bit of a crouch. He would leap right for her when she next called out, he'd use the change in location as a good guess for the direction she'd been headed in.

"Asiee," he called again, feeling himself get tense all over as he waited for her reply. Keeping his eyes shut was so hard, everything in him seemed to want to peek. But he could win fair and square, following the rules of the game. That was the whole point after all. As soon as he heard her reply, he whipped around and almost tripped over his own paws. Still dizzy from her spinning him, he'd forgotten to add that into his calculations. "Asiee!" he yelped, trying to catch his balance and catch her at the same time. It was kind of harder than it sounded.

But in the end, for that was the only way he was going to allow this round to end, Anwar managed to tag Zarha's heel. That this had been partially an accident he saw no need to mention, all that mattered was that he had caught her.

Actually starting a small grin, he blinked his eyes open to look at her again. Such pretty eyes she had, he realized suddenly. A rich, warm, reddish color, but so clever. He decided he might like to play with her again. Soon.

"Is it your turn now?" he asked, feeling almost eager to try another round of this wonderful game.

"You caught me!" Zarha exclaimed, giggling.

She nodded at Anwar's question. "But I think we should find some more players now. I mean, it wouldn't be a challenge for me at all with just the two of us, since I came up with the game." She knew better than to give direct orders to a male. The secret was to give convincing suggestions.

More people.

Anwar hesitated, not liking the idea of sharing any knowledge that he'd managed to scrape up for himself. Even if it was already shared by Zarha having created it. He wanted to protest that they keep it secret, but she'd been a bit put-off last time, or so it seemed. She hadn't thought it was necessary... and it was her game...

"...okay," he finally agreed, rather reluctantly. There wasn't anything disagreeable with what she'd just said, aside from the fact that he was just dying to hoard all his little tiny knowings into a big pile of secrets. He could let this one go though, he supposed. It hadn't really been his anyway. "Who...who do you want to play with?" the cub asked, it was her game after all. She should choose the other players.
