Mi'rage was a bit surprised that the other's hadn't know. Really he thought everyone knew, but it turned out Zuha hadn't ever even seen a cheetah.
"Yes, my mommy is a cheetah. I haven't seen her for a while though. Right now Mama Tsu and Mama Maua take care of me and my sister. I love them a lot. Mama Tsu is a lion and Mama Maua is a leopard."
Mi'rage was grinning brightly at the fact that there was something so interesting that others might want to know about it. He thought it was fun that Rahim and Suha were the first to know. He wondered if it made them friends.
When Rahim suggested they play, Mi'rage was up on his feet in a flash. His eyes lit up at the prospect of a race. He did love to run. "Yes," he said nodding quickly, "let race. I love to run just like cheetahs and I'm fast too, even though I'm bigger that a regular cheetah."
Mi'rage was anxious and rearing to take off, running was just so much fun.

It amazed Rahim that a cub so easily spoke of having a cheetah mother. There was something strange about taking on a non-lion mate, and though it shouldn't have surprised him, it did. He was young yet, and that meant Mi'rage was different, and differences were both interesting and intimidating at the same time.
Still, his curiosity was pleased to know this. He'd have to ask Ukoo or his father about taking on non-lion banu. . .even stranger still that his mother, his real mother wasn't in the pride. Why hadn't his father taken her in as a banu or brought her back? Why would she roam while her children stayed? That didn't seem very right.
But neither did taking in leopards.
Still, a banu was a banu, even if they weren't worth as much as a lion. Rahim was curious to meet these other ladies but still felt his prejudices. If he ever got a harem he wouldn't want cheetahs or leopards. . . Nope. He'd have lionesses, that's what. Lots of them too. Though with Rahim, while convicted now in such a thought, it was most likely with age his tune would change.
Tariq'ra'd had no cheetahs or leopards. . . . So why would Rahim want one?
Shaking clear his thoughts, the lion cub couldn't keep the smile off his features. Both Suha and Mi'rage seemed like they wanted to race, so with a small snickers he bolted forward. "Well c'mon then! Let's see how fast you guys really are!" Eyes bright, he jolted forward zipping past Mi'rage and Suha. He didn't bother to look back, he was sure they weren't going to dawdle.
((Psst - feel free to get them to the lake. razz And feel free to have them race past him. . . He most definitely doesn't have to get there first!))

Suha just found it terribly fastinating that Mi'rage was part cheetah. She itched to ask him more, but knew that it probably was rude to pry. Not to mention, many didn't like someone who asked a zillion questions. Her daddy didn't seem to mind too much, but that was like...a daddy-job, to explain things. Besides! They were going to race now, asking questions should come later, if at all.
With a giggle as Rahim raced past, Suha glanced over her shoulder at Mi'rage with an excited "Let's go!" before turning and bounding after Rahim. She wasn't slow exactly, but she wasn't the fastest either. Sometimes her paws got in the way of each other, making her a tiny bit clumsy. She would, of course, grow out of this, but was only about average for a cub.
Which wasn't bad. It just wasn't great. She lost a lot, but that was okay, because the games were fun to play, and other people seemed to like winning. So losing wasn't so bad at all! Still giggling madly, she tried to remember not to tread on her paws as she raced after the other cub.
((Not sure what to do with her, since she'll prolly come in last XD She's younger than both of them anyways...))

Mi'rage blinked as Rahim ran by, "huh?" It took a minute to dawn on him that the race had begun as Suha zipped up, but he quickly hopped up and bounded after the two.
His longers legs and thinner build made if very easy to catch up to Suha and he grinned at her as he pulled away. He felt so free when he ran and it was so invigorating. His shoulders slightly hunched he pushed forward. He was partly cheetah and while he might never best a lion in a fight, a lion could never catch him and he could run for far longer than any cheetah.
It was a few more moment before he caught up to Rahim, who had been leading the group with his small head start. "Hey ya," he said grinning as he pulled ahead.
While he was not very far ahead of the group, being just a cub and unable to reach top speed he did stay ahead of them. When he reached the lake he did a small victory leap right into the water to cool his heated paw and take a quick drink.
"That was so much fun," he exclaimed.
