Actually, the CD was corrupted and the game goes weird before the cinematic with Tidus and Jecht. See, Jecht says "You always cry. See? You're crying"..... The cinematic doesn't play and the two just look at each other, then Tidus' hand hovers slowly over Jecht's face, then they both pop into thin air and the game crashes with an image of the blank ground.

Final Fantasy VII. It was also the first RPG I ever played, the first real game I ever played, the first Japanese game I ever played, and the first Squaresoft game I got in contact with. ^^ Ah, nostalgia~

When I was young, I had a Nintendo.
After it broke, I didn't get another system until my PS2.

I was just disappointed that there was literally no way to lose against Yu Yevon.
