Icy gray eyes remained transfixed on the white fluff at the end of her tail that was constantly clashing with the black of her fur. She gave a half-hearted swat at it, pinning it beneath her paws afterwards, but found that today was far too extraordinary a day to be playing the same game she played just about every day. The den she'd just emerged from was always far too quiet for Dilara's tastes, and so she was constantly seeking to expand her horizons. Being cooped up inside was always so BORING compared to roaming the area around.
Peering up at the beautiful blue sky that spanned out above her she smiled slightly at the warmth of the sun that her dark pelt helped her attract so easily. Upon returning her gaze to the earth below she noticed a few somewhat tall rocks situated a few yards to her right. Standing up she scowled thoughtfully at them, while slowly approaching them, already determined to scale the rocks. Compared to small Dilara they were somewhat tall but couldn't have reached higher than an adult's shoulders. She would have such a good vantage point from them! And perhaps a perfect spot from which to pounce on an unsuspecting cousins or siblings who might stray her way....!
Snorting with the effort she quickly scrabbled onto the tallest one, using her small claws to pull her up to the top. Tail flicking she gave a sigh and stretched out over it, the rock slanting down so everything but her paws and head angled down towards the ground she'd just come from. She felt as proud as a small lioness could for scaling such a 'mountain', but the rock wasn't really good for much except maybe spying on others. Her eyes scanned the area for anyone who looked like a halfway decent playmate.

Faiz had been out patrolling with Zeki and Ilyas, continuing to prepare them for when they would soon have to leave on their Trials. But they had since left his company, to spend time with Thabiti and Miri respectably. The large lion smiled at the thought of his sons growing up, of all his children aging. Yes, he loved them as cubs, and yet he took pride in seeing them mature into adults he could be proud of.
Speaking of his cubs, he caught sight of one of his newest baby girls, Dilara, climbing up a group of rocks. He chuckled to himself as he came up behind her, amused at the adorable pose she took after she had scaled to the top, his daughter looking around, no doubt for someone to pester. And being the good father he was, he was certainly willing to oblige her.
"My, you're quite the little climber, Dilara. Do you see any invaders from up there?" he asked in a playful tone, a smile on his maw and a humored glint in his eyes, though they were mostly hidden behind his thick mane.

Despite her determined attitude to keep an eye out for a potential playmate, or something else to entertain her, she found the rock's warmth a little too cozy and a lazy yawn escaped her. Realizing she was getting groggy she scowled intensely, shaking her small head rapidly back and forth to clear her thoughts. She'd have plenty of time for a nap later! She couldn't just waste such an opportunistic day! Using her back paws she stood on the tippy top of the rock so that she was no longer sprawled against the warm side of it. She felt taller then ever and the action gave her a burst of renewed energy.
Hearing footsteps behind her she quickly looked towards the sound with great curiosity and hope, wondering who might be able to play with her...and to her surprise, she found her father's great figure standing before her. This was a very nice surprise indeed as he had such a busy job it wasn't everyday she got to see him one on one like this. Normally she had a few siblings around if she wanted to enjoy his company but the two were quite alone for now. She beamed at the compliment, puffing up slightly and standing a bit more erect to receive the praise.
"Thanks papa!" She replied and at his question gave a little snort, assuming a, err, 'ferocious' crouch and a smirk. "No, but if I do, they better watch out!" She gave a growl though it sounded more like squeak if anything... She'd definitely have to work on that. Straightening up a bit she realized she was almost as tall as her father, the tips of her ears reaching his chin if he'd been closer. This was a new sensation considering she was so used to being so small compared to him. "Do you have time to play today?" She asked, childish hope in her eyes.
She knew her father was a very important lion but she still asked anyways in hopes she'd caught him in some of the free time he had. Of course she wouldn't be disappointed if he couldn't. Or, well, she would be but she wouldn't show it!

"For you, my little climber, of course," Faiz replied, chuckling over her little growl and warning to intruders. He'd have to remind her that it was the male's duty to keep the pride, and his harem, safe from intruders, not the female's, but he'd let his little girl pretend, if just for a little while. There was a little bit of space on the rock between him and his daughter, enough room for him to place his chin down upon it, making him have to look up at Dilara through his mane.
"What does my little treasure want to play?" he asked in that calm, low voice of his, blue eyes shining with his own brand of mischief. He realized he didn't spend nearly enough time with his cubs, least of all his little girls. He'd have to rectify that. Yes, he had an important job in the pride and he had the boys to train before the Coming of Age trials, but that didn't mean he was allowed to neglect his daughters. He would start taking more time out to do stuff with them.
