Anyone looking for some new music?

We have reviews pop up every once in a while but I'm always looking for new music.
But not just random music, I have certain music moods.
(I just assume I'm not the only one. )

So I was thinking "Hey, why not give people a place to request suggestions for certain genres?"
Like, I've been in a mood for offbeat indie music lately.
And suggestions of songs or bands would be nice, but for that genre.
If I just asked "Give me music" then God knows what I'd get.

So feel free to ask for certain genres, maybe even suggestions of songs from a certain band.

If a lot of people want stuff I can use this first post to say what people want to organize better.

I'm a huge fan of non-traditional Christmas music so if anyone has some, and I don't mean remakes of NBC songs, then that'd be pretty sweet.
Just to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.
Don't Shoot Me Santa by The Killers is a personal favorite of mine.
Father Christmas by The Kinks is also fun. (video quality is terrible but the audio is good)

This music video is trippy.

EDIT:
I just remembered/realized that Pandora does this.
OHWELL
Pandora doesn't give you interaction like a thread will. >[

Awesome!
Thanks!
There's such on overabundance of weird non-traditional remakes of Christmas songs.
But I find the original non-traditional songs much more interesting.
The same carols and melodies get old after a while.

you also get 40 hours a month to listen to music, after that, you have three options:

1. Pay $.99 and not have to worry about a 40-hr limit for the next month

2. Pay $36 for Pandora One and get unlimited listening for a year, no ads, and high quality streams

or

3. Wait till the first of the next month when it resets the hour count thing

ive listened to Pandora for about 35 hours this month (which is how i found all this out) D: i've been listening to iTunes cause i dont want to run out of time

True.
I forgot about that part.
All the more reason to post here if you're looking for something.

Relient K : "We wish you a merry Christmas"
Wish List by Trans Siberian Orchestra

Joy to the World by Casting Clowns
Re-make of Joy to the world sang by these people. But it's really good. Country like....but nice. ^_^

Woah, weird.
The intro to the Reliant K one totally made me think of this song
About 1:00 is where you hear the part I was thinking of.
Kind of cool though, I also like Reliant K's version of The Twelve Days of Christmas
I really like that TSO song.
I was trying to find their albums a while ago but forgot. sweatdrop
I'm jealous of my friends that went to go see them in concert a couple weeks ago, I heard they were awesome.

Those are cool, Moonlight.
Thanks!

I think Jonathan Coulton is awesome. Some of you may know him as that guy who wrote the song from Portal.

He has plenty of songs that are free to download on his site. They're mostly silly, but he has a few serious ones.

And, of course, I suggest the jazz scores from Sam and Max, but I've mentioned those before.

Oooh!! I really like that song in that video you posted there. I'm so going to add that song to my phone.
No, thank you for that relient K 12 days of Christmas song! I missed that! ^_^ If I find anything else interesting I'll post it up. Pandora Radio can be good but sometimes it's just irritating and they only allow you to skip a few amount of times. And imeem is no longer up...that's where I would find my random songs. grr...

My favorite song by that band is "Death Goes to Disco" 3nodding
You're welcome too!
I try to use Pandora sparingly for that reason, and you're also limited to how much you can listen to a month.
I've never used imeem though.

Dornkus:
Oh, I love Still Alive.
I've never played Portal but the song is awesome.
I'll definitely have to check him out.
The Sam and Max jazz scores are good too, I remember you sending me a couple of those before.

I must not listen to it as much b/c I've yet to be blocked by the limiter. ^^"
Imeem was awesome. Browse and listen to music as many times as you like...make a playlist...people upload so they have even foreign or OST's and stuff. Stinks when good sites go down.... You could find almost any kind of song on there.
