mhm. depends on the song. but mostly i think it's alternative/rock or alt./punkish with lots of other genre influences. in an interview the guys said that being a band started in chicago, they had lots of music influences or something similar to that.

I don't think they are one set genre. But I'd have to say pop punk, if I had to choose.
For one thing, no one is real punk rock anymore. Even though the Ramones considered themselves to be pop, a lot of people (including myself) consider them punk rock. Simple Plan is pop. Maybe pop rock. I find no hint of punk in their music.
I find hints of punk in FOB's music though. But, they are definitely pop as well. They aren't emo, and they are nothing like Simple Plan and Good Charlotte who are "pop rock"... FOB can be alternative... But, to make it simple, I just say pop punk. It seems most reasonable.

Quixotic Faye I'm genre illiterate too, in a severe sense. I'd just go with pop-punk, because that seems to be the most basic definition for their music that I've found. me too lolXD

gonk NOT EMO.
EMO = EMOTIVE HARDCORE. IT NEVER HAS AND NEVER WILL MEAN EMOTIONAL. mad
They're pop-rock. END OF DISCUSSION. (Well, I'll tolerate "softcore" too. xd 'Cause I can see how that'd work.)
Sorry. I've become genre literate...or at least with pop music. I am much more educated. sweatdrop I can be a bit of an elitist. I should probably work on that.
