Well. That was that, then. Sesere was still a little nervous about this, but it seemed like most everyone was preoccupied with the tournament and such anyway. So ... perhaps she wouldn't get in trouble. Especially if she was with Devya.
She wasn't even sure what rank this male was, but surely it was higher than hers. He sounded confident... like he knew what he was doing. Something that she lacked most of the time - though she had learned to fake it.
As they walked along, the female looked around them curiously... though she didn't say much. She wasn't sure what to say, not used to what one might call 'normal' conversation.

Devya walked and was mostly silent, much like Sesere. He really did not know what to say, he was really sort of surprised that she'd come along with him.
He thought for a moment of a good conversation, but all that he could bring to his mind was the days events. She sighed silently feeling like he was flubbing up in some way, though he kept his confident gate and relaxed expression.
Then it came to him, a question she'd asked before, but he did not really answer. Should he answer it? He frowned, figuring it could do no harm, as long as she kept it to herself.
He kept looked forward, but spoke, "You asked earlier how I knew who the new Aran'shale will be? I said I would keep it to myself, but I will tell you if really want to know. However, you must agree, not to tell anyone else and if I am right, which I am, you will patrol with me again sometime."
He looked to her for a second hoping she would take his offer, "Agreed?"

Sesere padded along to one side and slightly behind the male, not even sure why she had come with him. Perhaps it was just ingrained in her by this point to accept the orders, or even suggestions, of those in the pride who had more status than she did.
Which made her little better than a slave... but there was nothing she could do about it.
Lost in her own thoughts, the lioness jumped slightly when Devya started talking suddenly. He would tell her his prediction for who would replace her father... in exchange for doing this again? She blinked, not believing it could be that easy for a moment. This was... simple, easy. Definitely better than what males usually wanted from her.
"All right," she finally agreed, tilting her head a little at him.

Devya was again amused by Sese's reaction. He gave a small chuckle, "Well than that settles it. Another patrol around the bordered for my prediction. Though I do not see it as a prediction, nope I see it as fact."
Devya grinned as they made it to the borders. He wondered for a moment if he should take the longest path around, but decided against it and heading out a bit further. He looked back to Sese and in one short word he gave his little fact.
"Drathir."
He stopped for a moment listening and allowing his senses tune themselves. After a moment he grinned lightly.
"Would you like to know why or rather how I know that?"

She blinked a few times at that, thinking of what she knew about the young male he'd named. Not ... very much, really. Since her knowledge was more or less limited to those who came to 'visit' her. And Drathir wasn't one of those.
"Yes...?" she asked softly, tilting head a bit.

Devya grinned continuing on in his patrol certain that Sese would follow. His head was held high and he felt proud that he was so certain. He just knew he was right.
He looked back to Sese, grin still in place, "It is simple really. I am sure he is the strongest competitor, most suited for the position, and who else can say that they have trained a pupil already in their young age."
Devay almost felt like laughing fore he was referring to himself. He had been Drathir's pupil and he was very loyal to the soon to be king. Really nothing could make him think otherwise.
"Maybe my opinion is biased but I am certain I am correct in my thinkings."

Sesere thought about that for a minute or two, then shrugged slightly. "Well, you might be right," she replied - pretending that she didn't really care very much.
She ... didn't know a lot about the politics of the pride anyway.

Devya frowned for a moment becoming slightly huffy, but after a moment raised his head up high and grinned. "I'm right. Just you wait and see. I am right."
He continued onto a less worn path looking around for anything out of the ordinary, but he doubted her would find anything. Most did not dare to actually trend to near the demons lands, unless they were ignorant or dared to join.
Dev looked behind him, "Just remember, we made a deal. Another patrol for a correction prediction. Now come on the pride lands are rather large and we've got a lot a ground to cover."
Devya continued forward grinning to himself, he really did need to have more friends, aquaintances, allies, and what not within the pride. The bet was sort of a means to that, well hopefully.

Sesere nodded at that ... following orders was more familiar territory for her, after all. It made her a bit uncomfortable to be leaving the parts of the lands she was used to. But she couldn't show that.
It wouldn't be right, or demonic... or ... anything like that.
