Azar finally grew into her paws, she was finally an adult and she was happy about this. She was a large lioness, she looked like a firekin in every aspect. If she had some red on her coat she would look even more like one, but she didn't care, she got picked on a few times before because of her all black coat but she didn't care much. All she scared about was the fact that she was a strong warrior and she could take on almost every one that got in the way of her path.
There wasn't much in her in her path at the moment. she was wondering along the dunes, just wandering. She really didn't have anything else to do. She found herself training a lot mostly in the morning and the night so she found the afternoons with nothing to do. When it came down to training some one would get tired before she was done and so she wouldn't be able to train with them. In the morning she fought her heart out and then during the night she ran the dunes before finally settling. But afternoon such as this when she just wanted to sleep in any kind of shade that she could find. But she hated that lazy feeling.
So she wandered like she did now. Occasionally bumping into family or even a friend or two. But she just mostly wandered. As she wandered over another dune before looking around, something caught her eye. A red lioness, she looked familiar yet she wasn't that sure, she started to wander down the dune with a smile on her face. "Hello."

Having no real job within the pride to do, Kinja had taken to basking in the warm sun's rays. The heat of the day made the old lioness drowsy and made napping all that much more relaxing. There was nothing much better than a nap brought on by the heat. Plus, with a full stomach from a recent meal, Kinja was quite ready to doze off. The inviting sand, which was much more comfortable to lay on than dry, or even lush grasses, was swiftly becoming her favorite bedding.
Eyelids drooping, Kinja had just cotenplated lowering her head to her awaiting paws when she heard a voice from behind her. Turning her head and adjusting her body, Kinja's blue eyes fell upon the dark lioness. The thought of sleep quickly floated from her mind as she smiled warmly at the approaching lioness. "Well hello there." She tipped her head slighty to the side. "I must say I don't believe I've met you before. I rarely get visitors at this time of day. I must say it's a nice change." The smile never wavered from her maw as she shifted her body again into a slightly more comfortable position. "I am Kinja, by the way."

Azar looked at the older lioness, something about her just seemed to be so familiar. She wasn't sure what it was though. She looked over the lioness's markings a few times. the only thing that she could really think of was trying to figure out if this lioness was related to herself in some way or another however she wasn't going to jump to conclusions right away. The stripe on her back was very close to the older lioness's stripe. She chuckled a little bit before nodding to the older lioness a smile on her face. "I don't think I've met you either." She giggled a little bit before nodding toward the older lioness, moving next to her and flopping down on her side so she could look at the lioness. "Well I hope I can be some good company to you."
She then glanced at the lioness again and nodded. "Hello Kinja, for some odd reason I think I've heard about you before."She smiled before wiggling her toes around in the sand and flicking her tail around before realizing something. "That's rude of me not to introduce myself!" She laughed a little bit then nodded once more at her. "My name is Azar."

Kinja shifted her weight a bit to make looking at the other lioness easier and less taxing on her neck. "Heard of me before?" She pondered that for a few minutes wondering why anyone would have heard of her. "Unless you've spoken to Kidondo or No recently I am not sure why you would have heard of me. I am sure you're much to young to have known my son." She tilted her head slightly, her mind wandering to Kimeti. She needed to speak to Kidondo about him. She had yet to get details on what had truly happened to her son.
Breaking her thoughts as Azar spoke agian Kinja smiled her motherly smile. "Well Azar, it's wonderful to meet you. I must say, the pride has grown so much that it's near impossible for me to always keep up with names so I apologize now if I ever do forget it." She chuckled. "I am usually pretty good at remembering names but my old mind sometimes let's things slip." She winked.

Azar cocked her head to the side before giggling a little bit. She flicked her tail around a bit before nodding toward the older lioness. Reaching out a paw toward the lioness. "Of course I've talked to Kidondo and No recently. They are my mom and dad."I mostly look like my mom but I guess I look like my dad. I have no clue where this comes from." She placed the out reached paw on her chest pointing at her spider marking before giggling and giving a nod roward her back. "Or my wing markings are from." As she talked she really hadn't connected the idea that she could be related to her in some way.
"It is wonderful to meet you too. It also feels great to finally have some company around here." she laughed before nodding. "It's alright I completely understand. There are a lot of other lions in here." She then laughed a little bit shaking her head. "No worries, it's probably not because you're older. I have a hard time remembering names myself some times." She grinned widely at that hoping that would make the lioness feel pretty good.

Kinja looked at the female with a slightly surprised expression before warming into a smile. "Kidondo and No ar eyour parents? Well, I certainly need to speak to those two about how many Great Grandchildren I have." She chuckled. "I am Kidondo's grandmother, on his father's side." She shook her head. "I just keep meeting more and more grandchildren and great grandchildren." Kinja seemed ot look at Azar with a more critical expression for a moment. "Well you certainly look a lot like your mother, but there's certainly a bit of your father in you. I am not sure where you got your other markings, but I can tell you that stripe down your back is certainly a trait from me. That back stripe seems to be a very strong marking in the family."
Kinja chuckled and shook her head. "Now, don't try to make an old lioness feel better about herself." Winking Kinja sighed contently. "Well Azar, maybe you could enlighten me. How many siblings do you have? What are their names?"

Azar nodded at the older lioness when she asked her question about Azar's parents. But then a smile crept on her face, she giggled and nodded at her. "You're really my great grandmother?" She looked pretty stunned for a moment then she let out a small laugh, it was good to see family around here. Something about it just made her smile. She loved her family and meeting new members of her family was really awesome to her! Then again it seemed like a lot of the lions were related to her in some way or another.
She did her best to twist her head around to look at the stripe on her back before looking at the older lioness's stripe. "I guess it is. Maybe some of the white comes from you too." She grinned before nodding slightly then laughed. "I have a lot of siblings, they're all from the same litter on top of that." She thought hard for a moment gathering all the names. "There is eight of us." She nodded before she started thinking about names. "My sisters Zii'moto, Runya, Adara and the twins Fia and Ea. Then there are my brothers Ubawa'moto and Xipil." She shook her head a few times with a smile. "We were really trouble makers when we were younger." She thought for a moment. "Runya looks a lot like you, she has the white on her face, the backstripe, White toes. She's a brighter red though." she nodded, now that she thought of it she had to be related to this lioness, her siblings had a little big of her in each of them."

Kinja smiled her motherly smile. "Yes, it would appear that I am." She winked and watched as Azar attempted to look at her own markings. "Yes, that backstripe seems to be a very...eh...dominant trait for the family." That certainly wasn't a lie. Many of Kinja's own cubs had that particular marking and it seemed to be passed on form generation to generation and rarely skipped a litter.
"It seems I have quite a large family. Larger than I had anticiipated anyway." She chuckled. "I am excited to meet all of them. I can only hope they won't mind meeting their Great Grandmother." With a wink the old lioness sighed contently. "So, tell me a bit about yourself. I love to hear other's stories."

Azar chuckled slightly before grinning at the lioness. "I can tell! Almost everyone in our family has that stripe." She smiled at the idea, the only other thing in her family was most everyone had red on them. Even some of her other siblings that were black still had red markings. They had the slightest bit of red on them. It always made her a little sad... However she still was proud of herself. As she looked at her grandma she was hoping that she wasn't upset or embarrassed to see her mostly black granddaughter. She knew for a fact that to some being all black wasn't the best thing ever but to her she didn't care! She was a firekin and that was all that matter to her!
She laughed slightly and then shook her head, flicking her tail around as she spoke to the older lioness, she always had to be moving. "For a while it was hard to get attention some times but I still love htem all." She flashed a large grin before nodding toward the lioness. "I'm more then sure you will run into here around here some time." She laughed, there was a lot of them she was way more then sure that the older lioness would run into them at some point.
