They who chase the Moon and Sun
Hush now, for it was foretold by the Norsemen ages ago. The wolves Hati and Skoll chase the sun and the moon across the heavens each day, but it shall not always be so. The time of the Ragnarok will come, the time of the Gotterdammerung, when the world shall be plunged into a winter as it has never known. This is the Fimbulvetr. There shall be three such endless winters, winters of unspeakable cold that will freeze the hearts of men and gods alike, for this is the beginning of the end. The wolf Skoll shall devour the sun and his brother Hati , the moon.
And such was the Legend passed down by the Norsemen centuries past but that is not these two Varg whom you have come to meet. Allow me to tell you a little more about them...
Long ago in a dense forest in the Northern lands when it seemed the sight had almost entirely vanished from the face of the world, these two, brother and sister were born. A pair of black and white twins both with the sight. The entire pack feared them including their parents. They were named after The dreaded Fenrir’s sons as a reminder to the entire pack of what they could do. Even their parents feared them abandoning the twins shortly after they were named. It was a miracle the two survived if it had not been for the kindly Shaman who had found them, they wouldn’t be here now.
They were known throughout the northern lands as the cursed twins.
But that is long since past…
Now, together the twins have walked all corners of the world finding and teaching all those who have the sight, showing them it is not a curse but a gift that can be used for the good of all. Sometimes they are shunned, other times welcomed will you welcome these wolves among your pack for even a short while? Drive them off? Or will you seek them for their knowledge of all things?
That my Dear Varg is up to you… But should you seek them know they will turn away no one.
