"I am glad you approve," she said with a nod before she ate her fill, as well. He didn't eat very much for one his size, did he? She ate what she could, then surveyed the rest of the meat. "I think, perhaps we might have enough to take to Mollie after all, if you don't mind?" she said, looking up at him with a smile as she cleaned the blood off of herself.
She hoped his lack of appetite had something to do with his being a god, and not that he was sick. Her Vizier had ate less and less as the weeks went by--
No, Nywele looked healthy and strong.

Nywele just naturally had a small appetite he didn't like to feel like he was gorging himself. He watched her smiling still not believing his luck in life. "Of course I don't mind anything you or I can do to aid other members of the pride pleases me very much." He noticed that she was thinking about something and the vibes he got from it worried him a bit. "What's wrong Amani?"

She looked away for a moment, a bittersweet expression on her face before she gave him a sweet smile. "Nothing, my pad. I was just thinking how different it is to have a god for a pad. I needn't fear the same things that I feared with my last pad."
She grabbed the impala's carcass and started dragging it to the pride. It was obvious she didn't want to get into it. She knew that with some pads this would be considered rebellion, but Nywele would let her get away with it.
She still wasn't ready to cry yet. Her mourning would begin once the honeymoon was over.

Nywele's ears flattened a bit as she started to drag the carcass away, but it was from anger. He got to his feet to follow her without saying anything in reply. He dragged his paws in the earth feeling upset. It was going to take him a bit to understand death and mourning. Death he understood more then mourning. If she was upset why did she not cry, or talk to him about it. He would listen he would be there for her. Why wouldn't she let him? He almost felt hurt by it as though she didn't feel close enough to confide in him. Well they hadn't known each other for that long after all. Perhaps he was being selfish with his thoughts. Perhaps this reaction was part of the mortal mourning.
Nywele perked up a bit and he picked up his pace to walk along side her. Still he said nothing, he wasn't sure what to say to her. His eyes moved upwards to the sky the place he normally retreated to when he felt a little uncomfortable or upset. "I shall lead us in our next activity once we drop the impala off for Mollie." Nywele said finally sounding rather commanding about it opposed to his way of normally asking her.

She jerked at that tone, surprised and a bit hurt that he was angry. She shouldn't have been, she thought. But he had always seemed so easygoing--
She put the impala down, bowing her head to him. "As you wish, my pad. My one desire is for you to be happy," she added, honestly.
