One of my favorites.
The Witchblade is a powerful weapon that transforms its possessor. It is only passed to women, and it is unknown who will be chosen.

I think the anime takes place 200 years after the American Comic.
There is also a manga "Witchblade: Takeru" & a novel "Witchblade Lost Generation: Midori no Shōjo."
The timeline goes Manga, then Novel, then anime.

I liked the Witchblade anime it was really interesting from what I can remember it has been a while since I watched it.
