Oh Gaia, dear Gaia. It seems this site within the last couple years has shifted into a phase it cannot and possibly will not lift itself from. Directing its advertisement toward attracting prepubescent nimrods, children, and yearning for the wallets of these individuals - thus purging this site into an economic despair.
Items once decent in price have inflated. Monthly Collectibles - once down in their 30's and possibly even 20k's are now up in the 80's. More and more RIGs popping onto the scene with less of the "Such and such chance per turn", but now riddled with the "No strategy. No purpose. Just click and wait. Everything pinpointed on Gaia Cash than Gaia Gold.
Why even have the gold anymore?
The forums, in shambled, all shifting toward the course of becoming the next Chatterbox. The damned General Discussion is now a living copy of the accursed place. Where are the discussions? Where are the debates? And anywhere else these days that hasn't been besmirched by the Chatterbox and the name-dropping, pic-dropping, title-hungry trolls are slowly but surely filling to the brim with elitist jerk-wads.
Can any of us remember a time when a Mod or Admin actually took the time to speak with us? Listen to our concerns? Got down to our level and heard our grievances on an issue? Or how about a time you could simply drop an opinion somewhere without having is bombarded by the earlier said elitist or trolled by some douchebag - or even by a MOD, of all people.
I understand all sites change eventually. They gotta, right? But to this degree? Where is the Gaia we knew and love? Back in the good years when everything wasn't a race or a competition to have the newest stuff or look the swankiest. Where the common troll could be laughed at and defeated whilst being able to help a real newb with something about the site and not have it be just a mule.
Back in the day where it seemed kind around here. Filled with role play and individuality. When Facebook and our real lives weren't involved.
Well, how do you feel about it. Which is better. Old Gaia or New Gaia.

I remember when the 90's pants came out.
I was a 'lil gothling and thought they were THE BIGGEST THING EVER
For just 2k and I had to work to afford it.
Remember Pink/blue links? flying trunks?
Remember when the towns meant the town map that they decorated each holiday?
Great times.
Now I'm on SecondLife. Personally, the people are much sweeter. Random people just say hi to you. One girl complimented my avatar and I told her I liked her Fairy. She not only gave me the location of the place where they gave them as freebies but took me there and explained how it worked and waited till I got mine.
Theres tons of freebies and you can always help out to get some $.
3nodding Sl= Old Gaia and then some.
