Naim'Namir loved to explore but it always seemed that something prevented him; his momma was there, his poppa was around, or one of his siblings wanted to play. Well on this day Namir had slipped out of the den right after his poppa got up and before his siblings did. Somehow Achal did not spot his young cub as Nimar scampered off into the pride lands.

The young cub watched the sun rise higher in the sky at the lake shore. He chased a bug into a area he had never been yet in the pride lands. Not particularly worried Namir left chasing a bug to explore. He found a small pile of rocks which he quickly climbed. The stone was sun warmed and with the sun bright and warm on his back he couldn't help but stretch out soaking up the warmth.

Namir started to doze a bit in the sun when another bug landed on his nose, tickling it. He tried to blow it off but it was a stubborn bug and didn't budge. He tried shaking his head but the bug just came back after Namir settled down again. Not knowing what else to do he lightly smacked his nose with his paw hoping to kill the bug but the bug just flew out of the way. Then almost to spite the young cub the bug started to fly around his head.

Unable to take it anymore Namir sat up and started to swipe at the bug with his front paws. He was so focused on his battle with the bug that he completly forgot that he was on the small pile of rocks so when he tried to back up a touch his paws slipped off the edge of the rocks and Naimr went tumbling down. He landed shaken but safely on his back-ish. His but and tail were still on the side of the rock pile while his head and shoulders were on the ground. He had a great view of the pride lands upside down. The bug that he had been battling buzzed around his head once more before flying off, almost like it was laughing at him.

Dareia loved coming down to the lake, especially moreso since she'd met Nywele. She continued to wish she stumble upon him again, for their meeting was one Dareia found herself nable to forget about the handsome god whose mane trailed the ground. But, even so, the lake still held a certain alure to the cub - even during the day.

While traveling around the lake, Dareia had glimpsed a strange sight. Just a few yard in front of her, she'd seen a flash of dark blue, previously sitting atop a pile of rocks, that then disappeared over the edge. Her curiousity piqued, Dareia felt her paws speed up, rushing toward the pile of rocks. It was only a minute until she got there, but once she did she was left with the task of climbing over them, to see who had fell over the other side. And so, she began to climb.

"Urgh..." she grunted a bit, working to get to the top. Sure, she loved to explore, but it was usually upon the flat ground that she did so; almost never did she find herself climbing to work towards something. But once at the top, she beamed to herself - she'd made it! It was so gratifying, yet so simple. For a second, she forgot the reason she'd climbed up in the first place - caught up in the brilliant view of the lake. Once she remembered, she turned carefully and began to pick her way down the pile.

Dareia's climbing down the rock pile was quickly halted when she came face-to-tail with one not her own. Studying the tail for a second, she found it to be a dark blue, with the fluffy tip of it a jet-black. About to speak to figure out who it was, Dareia realized that a tail meant that a butt was far behind, and scrunched her face up in mock disgust. She then attempted to scramble back up the rocks, but found it didn't work so well. Her paws slipped and she found herself flailing, tumbling in the air overtop the other, and landing with a 'thud' on the ground before the other.

Namir was enjoying the view of the pride lands from his upside down view. He only vaguely heard the sounds of someone climbing the pile of rocks he just fell down. When someone landed right in front of him he looked up at a young lioness who it seemed took the same way down that he did.

A little worried that she might be hurt Namir rolled over till he was right side up then quickly got to his feet. "Bad idea." He muttered as he sank back to the ground and closed his eyes. The blood rushing away from his head gave him a dizzy tingling feeling that only lasted a few moments.

He opened his eyes and tried to get to his feet again, this time much slower. He grinned at his companion and said sheepishly, "Head rush." Once steady on his paws he headed over to the female and stood there uncertain, "Are you OK?"

Dareia watched what she identified as a male cub as he stood up; an action which she quickly saw to be a rookie mistake. She'd done that, too, before; and it had sucked worse and worse each time - but mostly only because she felt stupid for continually standing up too fast. She stifled a giggle as he explained the sudden prickling sensation Dareia knew he felt in his head. Other than that, he looked fine; didn't seem to have any cuts from falling off the rocks, as she was quite sure she didn't. It hadn't been that far of a fall.

As the male padded over to her, Dareia smiled. He looked like someone she knew; or possibly even met before. But she quickly dismissed that, and attempted to nod. Only, it didn't work out so well due to laying flat on her back on the dirt-laded earth. "Yeah!" She said quickly, happiness laced in her voice. She always loved to meet new friends! She rolled over on to her stomache, then slowly hoisted her body up with her striped paws. Flicking her tail happily, she smiled softly and nodded. "I'm fine! Are," she giggled a bit, "you?"

"I'm fine although my brother does say that I might not be right in the head after all the tumbles that I have taken." He smiled inviting the female in his joke. Namir was glad that she was ok. It would have really stunk to have to get her father because she was hurt... that reminded him. "I'm Namir, Naim'Namir by the way." He knew it wasn't the formal greeting but he didnt think it mattered all that much just yet.

"So, um, did you have a great trip?" He tried to break the ice with his lame joke even though it seemed like the ice was already broken since she fell next to him and was giggling already, probably at him. "I know I did, so I guess that means I'll see you next fall?" He smiled and laughed lightly.

Dareia giggled at Namir, already enjoying his company more than most. He was very humorous, and it was definitely in his favor as a dominant part of his personality; even now, minutes after tumbling upon him, she could tell. "My name's Dareia, great to mee you, Namir!" She grinned wide, truly meaning it. She could tell their meeting was going to be one she wouldn't forget soon. When speaking her name, she usually found some way to slip in her being the Sultan's daughter. This time, she left daddy out of it. For what reason, she couldn't speculate, but presumed it was because she was afraid Namir would feel bad for her falling, even when it obviously wasn't his fault.

Flicking her tail, Dareia felt her body convulse with giggles; though it was a very lame, and presumably over-used joke in a situation like this, it was still very welcome as a small point of conversation. In this laughter, she found that she had been quite correct in his being comical; and she was very glad. "Do you have any brothers?" Dareia inquired suddenly; the thought of where she'd seen someone like him before still hovering in her mind like a persistent fly.

"Likewise Dareia." Namir relaxed since it seemed that Dareia was enjoying herself and since she found his lame joke he racked his brain for more. When he couldn't come up with any one liners he asked, "What do you call spending the afternoon with a cranky rabbit?" He knew it was lame but maybe he could get her to laugh again, she had a pretty laugh.

"Brothers? Yup, like fifty of them," He sat down and smiled then started to name all his brothers, "Lets see the oldest is Mi'Rage Mehtab, then there is Atachmah Sayeh, and my littermates Xerxes, Bahaar, and Cairo. We are out numbered by my sisters seven to six, not counting my moms and dad cuz the males would then be outnumbered ten to seven." He didn't even realize that for the most part his little family was fairly even when it came to genders but he didn't really care about the finer points about the gender issues in the pride. He knew some of it, like how his sisters were being taught slightly different things then him, but he didn't fully grasp that one day he would have multiple mates like his father.

Dareia's first reaction to what seemed to be the starting of a joke was to c**k her head, and to start racking her brain. After a moment's hesitation, Dareia shrugged (as much as a lion cub can), and decided upon, "I don't know, but I'd sure be hungry if I had to spend all afternoon with a rabbit." She figured, because she didn't know the punch line to the joke, she'd answer it literally instead - and as she figured this, a smile played on her lips, awaiting his answer.

"Oh!" Dareia startled as Namir mentioned a name that she quite clearly recognized; a name that played fresh in her mind. "Cairo! I think I've met him. He's, uh..." he falterd for the right word; something correctly descriptive of the odd, young cub, but also something that wasn't harsh in the slightest. She eventually decided upon the word; "Formal. Very, very formal," she repeated, a smile spreading across her face. He was one of the only cubs in the pride that acted as if he was already a pad; and it was strange. But he seemed nice enough, Dareia thought.

When Dareia said that she would be hungry if she spent the afternoon with a rabbit Namir cocked his head slightly and said in a surprised voice, "You know I would be too." He smiled and laughed slightly, "But really the answer is 'a bad hare day'" The joke really was lame but he still hoped to get a laugh out of the young lioness.

Namir was not surprised that Dareia had met Cairo. If it was possible he was more surprised that she hadn't met more of his brothers. When she faltered trying to come up with something to say about his brother Namir just smiled and smiled. He had a feeling that she wanted to say odd but didn't want to insult Cairo in front of Namir so when Dareia said formal the blue cub just nodded. "Yeah he is kinda overly formal." He smiled and laughed lightly, "I'm not really sure where he picks it up but its always fun to mess with him when he is in his overly formal mood."
