Though I don't really think it's going to be popular within this guild, has anyone seen this movie? Thoughts?
I thought the way Aspergers was portrayed was close, but at times it felt really, really off. I don't think it's a horrible movie, and I get that subtle personality traits need to be ramped up on the big screen, so I'll let that go. My biggest grip with the movie was the lack of any real comedy. It plays itself off as a big comedy, but it was really just a drama with some awkwardly funny parts tossed in. All in all I liked the movie, and for the most part the Autism portrayal was accurate, but it wasn't advertised well.
