If at all possible, Mitra found her own den.

It was a carved out old hold, probably an older den that had collapsed, but it had plenty of space left in it for a cub or two. She pawed around the entrance with her ears perked up, mouth slightly agape. The first thing she noticed was all the dirt, but she could clean it up.

A snake slithered past her, up the rocks and squeezed into a hole. "What the-?" Upon closer inspection she found that the den hadn't collapse, just half of it. "If I just move these rocks I can do it!"

With determination in her heart, Mitra started her work.

Naim'Namir was out roaming again, his mother has given up trying to keep the adventurous cub at the den she just cautioned him to stay within the pride lands and to be careful. Namir might be all paws but he was not stupid and he would heed his mother's warnings but that didn't mean he couldn't have fun.

Namir was having fun chasing odd bugs and leaves on the wind when he came upon a blue tail tuff. Following it he quickly spotted a light blue bottom with a darker blue stripe along its back, the front end was in a hole. "Hello?" he called out, wondering why anyone would be head first in a hole.

She was slowly inching her way along the opening when she'd gotten stuck. Of course she panicked. Mitra was further in that she was out so she was grasping at stones to pull herself closer.

Then she heard a voice and hope bubbled up in her chest. "Hey! Give me a push!" She didn't know exactly how big the person on the other side was or anything, really, but if they could help her out it would be worth the risk.

Namir was confused. Apparently someone got stuck head first into a hole and they wanted him to push them in farther? It was a female if he heard correctly which made him even more confused because he thought it was strange for a female to do something that only the males seemed to do, or at least Namir seemed to do. He has gotten his paws stuck, his tail, and once his entire body stuck in a bush. Finding small places and falling seemed to be his specialty.

"Um, Ok if your sure." He called back, just to give the stuck lioness a warning before he braced himself and started to push with his shoulder. He felt her start to shift and said happly, "It's working," right before the dirt under his paws seemed to shift some and the hole that Namir was trying to help the female out of widened suddenly sending the small blue cub down into the hole with his would be damsel in distress.

She stuck her tongue out and hissed as she tugged herself forward. Maybe if she showed them exactly what she wanted, it wouldn't take so long! Her tiny amount of patience was starting to run dry. "Yes, I'm sure!" Mitra tried not to sound so snappish, but it was hard.

She grabbed at the stones with her hind legs and shoved, laughing openly when he announced what she already knew. The pressure was starting to leave her tummy, wriggling down to her hips. Freedom came so suddenly that she didn't scream until she had already hit the ground, giving a loud 'oof!' when something fell ontop of her. "I'm free, I'm free! I'm fre- Hey, get off!" She pushed at the fuzzy lump.

Namir quickly scrambled off of the squirming body below him. He sat their in the shadows of the collapsed den, well really more of the enlarged den, trying to get the dust clear from his nose as the dirt and rock rubble settled. Sneezing and coughing the young lion did his best to cover his muzzle with his paw. When the dirt had settled and he stopped coughing Namir finally got a good clear look around him.

The hole that he inadvertently enlarged was quite big. Large enough for a small family; a pad and his banu. The light from the entrance filtered in making the small den fairly bright, bright enough for the young male to see his companion clearly. It was a older female, light blue with slightly darker markings. She was the one who got stuck front first in the hole and who he landed on top of when they fell.

"Oh, um, sorry for landing on you," the young pesar apologized as he sat in the semi light from the den entrance.

Mitra's nose twitched. She gasped, holding her head up high to prevent it, but the sneeze ripped through anyway. The young banu sniffed to clear her airway before taking a look around. So far it was everything that she thought it to be and if the entrance wasn't block up, she thought an incoming pad would be happy to have this as his den.

She turned towards the voice and blinked. The fuzzy lump was alot smaller than what she pegged it to be, but never the less it was a pesar. Mitra barely had finished her bow before she was speaking, "It's alright. Your not hurt, are you?"

"Gods bless you." Namir said when his companion sneezed from the dirt and dust that was still swirling around them. When the young lioness bowed to him Namir was about to tell her not to, he had never had anyone bow to him before. "Please don't bow. I'm not anyone special." He shuffled from paw to paw until she finished her bow. "I'm fine. Are you ok? I mean I hope I didn't squish you when we fell. Oh and I'm Namir, Niam'Namir by the way. Momma always said to be polite and I guess while this is not the best of times to introduce oneself its better then never." The young cub was starting to ramble since he really didn't know what to do in this situation.

Mitra appraised him with a slightly annoyed snear. "For such a little guy you sure like to talk." Since he had been more than upfront about her not having to bow, she assumed that all formality should be dropped in general. Of course, that was only because the eyes of others wasn't on them.

"Naim'Namir?" What a mouthful! "My name's Mitra, daughter of Faiz. ......Did you know your mane looks like it sky? Actually, you do look like a bird."

Namir just smiled, "Na, I just talk a lot when I find something, or one, that interest me." He laughed slightly then started to cough when some dust got in his nose. Once he was able to breath clearly again he said, "Most everyone calls me Namir cuz your right my full names a mouthful. Mom wanted a name that meant something." His jaw drooped when Mitra said who her father was, "Faiz? Like the sultan's brother, Faiz?" He closed his mouth and smiled shakily trying to no think about what their fathers would do to them if they found them in a hole alone together. "Um yeah my dad's main looks like the clouds so mine is a mix of my folks, Achal and Tsubame, his Beybanu. Momma really looks like a bird."

His cough was infectious and like it or not, she copied the action. She shook out the last one. This den was far too dusty to be any good! Once she felt satisfied, the blue banu sat up straight and proud. "Yep! Thats my daddy. And I think I've seen Pad Achal before, but I don't remember a Beybanu."

Not that she paid an awful lot of attention to others, mind you. She'd only seen Achal because it was pretty hard to ignore a moving landscape. "C'mon. Help me push out some rocks. It's too stuffy in here."

"Wow, I guess your lucky to have such a neat dad." Namir smiled sheepishly when Mitra mentioned his mother. "Well mom said that when she and dad first came here she stuck by the den because she was shy then she, um, well, then she was expecting us so she stuck by the den because," he paused trying to pick the best word but gave up and finished, "well she said that she wasn't always the best company to be around. Something about always being kicked in the ribs." He smiled again, this time though his smile was slightly confused since he really didn't get what Tsubame had meant.

"Oh ok." He joined Mitra in pushing more rocks and loose dirt from the old den. Once there was enough debris out of the way Namir turned around to look at the den. "Wow its kinda large isn't it?"

Tsubame was weird, she just knew it. Even though she was sure that her own mother had been the same way, she'd come out and been sociable. At least, she suspected. She never would understand lower class families.

When the entrance was cleared out, she stood back to look at the den. "I know, right? Guess what kind of Pad must have lived here. Or what kind of Sultan." By the size of it, even her Uncle might have a hard time trying to fill it. With a little frown, she passed a side long glance at him, "You know, it isn't yours, so don't start thinking it. This is my den. I found it first."

"Hum... it could be like the long lost den of a long dead Sultan. He would have been a great king in order to have such a big den," He paused and added sheepishly, "Well you know almost as great as the Sultan is right now." When Mitra suggested that Namir wanted the den for himself he looked at her in shock. "I dont want it. Knowing me it would cave in on me. Mom always said I attract bad luck since I keep falling and stuff. Your welcome to it." Namir backed away a bit. He really didn't want the den, it was too big for him. Just himself in it and his beybanu, when he got one, wouldn't take up half the space and he was use to a cozy den with lots of bodies to use as pillows.

"...ir, ...mir, Namir." The voice was light but Namir knew it was his mother looking for him. "um Mitra I got to go, Mom's looking for me. I'll see you around, maybe." He waved right before he started to scamper off in the direction of his mother's call, only tripping once.

Mitra giggled. "You do, don't you? But at least you helped me, so that means something good, right?" After all, they made it out without many scraps and no bones were broken, so that was a pretty good day in her book. She stared up at her den proudly. One day, she was going to have as big a family as the one she was in now, and they would use up all the space inside.

"Oh? Okay." She stepped back and waved, waiting until he was a good distance to call out, "See ya!" and bound off back home, eager to tell her father about her adventures.
