[Requiem_Dragon]

Isshuin quickly barreled down the stone corridor in time to see the Serpent storm out of the water.He suddenly had a vicious pulling feeling on his heart. Like thousands of years of strife and battle now fueled his body and flowed in him in place of blood. Like a million year old rivalry between Fire and Water. Suddenly he lunged and sunk his teeth into the Serpent's throat, letting blood drip through his fangs. Isshuin had no control over it but he completely agreed with it. It didn't resolve the feeling but it somehow made it more relaxed. His heart seemed to rush emotions like waves. They came in short bursts and faded quickly.

The thing screeched in pain, thrashing about before it slamed into the cavern wall, smashing Isshuin between it and the unforgiving rocks. When in pulled back it was free of Isshuin and preparing to attack him. But then it had to retreat suddenly when giant spear-like rocks fell from the cavern ceiling. The biggest one, the one right above it, shook and trembled, showing cracks but not falling. The serpant shook its head, trying to regain its sences. Thats when it spied Sam and Bella. There was a sick chuckling from the serpant as its maw opened to show thousands of teeth.

Nova had noticed the large rock that was directly above the serpants head and how it shook but didn't fall. She growled as she quickly darted at the serpant, running up its body before she hurled herself at the rock, her body making solid contact with it, this time it shook violently and fell, heading straight for he serpant as Nova did her best to crawl ontop of it and kick off of it from the top, causing it to fall faster as she leapt back up, her body making contact with yet another rock that hung from the cieling, causing this one to fall as well, she smiled a bit to herself, if the first rock missed, this one would surely strike down the serpant, though she feared it would strike her down as well.

The serpant looked up suddenly, its mouth wide in supprise. The rock quickly went straight down its open maw and impailed it the the cavern floor. The next slammed into its thrashing body, ripping it clear from the head and dragging it down into the depths of the lake. The head twiched for a moment before the eyes glazed over and it stopped.

Nova had taken a heavy hit when the second rock had severed the serpants head from its body, she was lucky to remain away from the deadly liquids. Though her body was in imense pain she could only smile, she had saved her friends from the serpant. She tried to breath though her body shuddered and she coughed out blood, the force of slamming her body into the boulders doubled with hitting the ground had broken several of her ribs, causing one to impale one of her lungs just slightly. She growled as she tried to move though couldn't.

The rivalry flowing in his blood gave him a rush. He shook off the pain of blow and grabbed the ground with his mighty claws. From the depths of his gut and out of his mouth came a feirce, vicious roar that shook more rocks on the ceiling that hit Isshuin's burning hide and fueled the flames. The flames flared as shot up high as he roared a second time with a prideful bellow. And he stood firm with his head high as sparks from the fire danced around him. Then the dragon pick up his body and stood on two legs. A huge flame pillar shot up underneath him, swirling crimson flames through the roof out up into the sky far above. As the flames faded and soon dispersed, Isshuin stood back in his human form. He gave a big smile to the team and jogged up to Sam, and Bella and wrapped his arms around them. He was happy that for once he helped instead of endangering them. But all that happiness faded when he realized Nova was missing. He looked around and saw a horrific sight. Nova, laying far on the opposite side of the lake, was in pretty bad condition. He put his goggles on and leaped into the water, then darted across to Nova's aid. He hoped she was okay

Nova looked up a bit as somebody had appeared at her side, she had growled at first, some blood bubbling in her mouth as she did so before she realized that it was Isshuin who was at her side. She shifted a bit and spit out the blood and smiled at him "did i do good..?" she asked weakly as she shook a bit "Don't worry about me though.. we lycans can heal quickly... " she looked away then, having to catch her breath, she knew she couldn't take that large of breaths without her rib stabbing further into her lung.

Isshuin helped her up. "You did fantastic" He smiled at her and the worry in his heart faded. "that was a great shot with the rocks, you really are a great fighter. I have nothing to worry about" He didn't know what came over him but he reached out and gave her a hug. When he realized what he did he blushed. His face went bright red and he backed away quickly. "Umm...sorry."

Nova smiled at Isshuin, though pain coursed through her body as he had hugged him, she simply lay there after he had released her "i'm so glad.." she sighed as she closed her eyes, her breath shallow as she slowly changed back into her human form, her body shuddered as she let out a long gasp, her rib still pressing into lung as she opened her eyes again.

"Nova!" Isshuin yelled out. he tried to keep her held up in a position to make her breathing easy. Her breaths were weak. "Sam, Bella Help!" Isshuin cried out. He took his shirt and rolled it into a pillow then put in on the floor and layed her down on it. "please, Nova....don't go." A tear rolled down his face followed by a small stream of them. He hadn't known her long but he couldn't bare to see her die.

Sam tried in vain to lift himself up to go to Nova's aid, but fell back down with a whimper of pain. But the as rage built up at how weak he was, Sam managed to crawl over to her, growling the whole way. Once next to her, He forced himself to change to his human form. He was screaming in pain, but lived. Panting, Sam rolled over to Nova, giving her his moral support. "Im no healer girl, but Bella will be here soon. Looks like we both got pretty banged up eh? Nice shot too. You and Isshuin saved us back there." He looked to Ishuin, giving a painful nod. "I owe you my friend. We wouldn't be here without you. I wouldn't be here." Sam slumped back, his body using the last of his energy to heal itself while he slepped.

Nova's breathing remained shallow as she listened to Isshuin and Sam. She could hear how bad Sam sounded before she turned her head slightly toward Isshuin "I wont let.. myself die.. anytime soon.. and i promise.. not to go down.. without a fight" at this point she could barely speak, her voice mearly a whisper, though she tried to stay strong, her energy was fading.

It pained Isshuin more to see his friends hurt than a stab through the heart. He did his best to comfort them and ran back and forth between the pure lake water and Sam and Nova giving them water to drink. He slowly lifted their bodies to get them to the lake and laid them down near the lake shore. He did everything he could....and then remembered something he learned on the sea. He quickly shuffled to get out a small flask he kept with him. Inside wasn't alcohol, but a small three-pronged leaf called 'Coca' in it's native environment. He remembered going to a prosperous village high in the mountains above the clouds. Up there breathing was hard on top of heavy wounds he had. He took 2 leaves out and laid them on a small rock. He looked for something to grind it with but he couldn't find anything so he punched it. He slammed his bare knuckles onto the leaves, his dragon blood mixing with the leaves now. He turned to the water and put it into the flask with the powered, bloody leaves. He shook it well then took a small sip himself. The liquid was vile but it was a great medicine. He took it over to Nova and Sam and poured a little into their mouths, holding them closed to make sure they drank it. Within no time, the pain should fade but they'd still need medical attention. How long they would survive with the painkiller flowing through them, he didn't know. All he could say was, "We'll make it out.....I'm sure of that."

The painkiller reacted quickly with his healing, making it easier. However, he was still unconsious. His breathing was slow and steady now, no whimpers of pain to be heard.

Nova coughed when Isshuin poured the nastey liquids into her mouth but swallowed most of it. She wrinkled her nose a bit as she looked to him "thanks.." she murmered as she coughed up her own blood, the pain that coursed through her body slowly went away as the painkiller came into effect. She was thankful for that at least as she smiled at Isshuin.She just wished that Bella would hurry and help them.
