New name or keep it?

So when I thought of my current fursona, a skunk, i just kinda went into it and didnt really give him a name then I came across the name Brenden(it means prince and stinking hair) I thought that that name fit best being he's a skunk but i dont know if I want to keep the name for the meaning or change it to something more personal...Opinions?

gotherine my nine tailed furry fursona gets her name from the way she dresses and her daughter mortella gets her name from her fathers occupation ...as far as fursona names goe .. it really has allot to do with your personal perspective.

Brenden sounds nifty.

Try mine. Leonis. I'm a panther or dark grey feline. Yet Leonis is latin and refers to lions, so everyone thinks I'm a lion. When I'm not.

Never could figure out another name, but I had a futuristic sci-fi space character named k'tan and I don't use him anymore, although I really don't want to steal his name in case I need him again.

The first time I drew my alien character, I saved it as 'Blorp'.
Because I was just like, "Durrrblurp whatever fdshlj".
And then that's what I started calling her.

I think it's an awful name, but nothing else fits. gonk

One of my OCs. I changed his name about a year after I created him.
You can always change it after time.
If it works better, it works better.

Brenden is a fine name...masculine, dignified. If you like it there's no reason to change it.

Maybe you'd be happier with it if he had a last name as well?

It's all personal choice. Sacrificing a name you like for creativity is silly, not that that's what you're doing, but if you like it then keep it, and if you're not happy, well. It your name, so keep trying. :3

The name Leander, an alternative I've considered, also means "Lion man", so no help there. Least it shortens to Lee though.

It has alternative spellings, so perhaps you could take your name and figure out a creative way to misspell it.

Leandro, Leandros, Leiandros - hispanic version
Leanther
Liander

Or you could give him a last name, like Lee Kurokawa or lee blackwing.

My 'sona's name is Mahewa. It is the Swahili word for "music," which fits because (1) I'm a musician, and (2) she's a lioness.

I think I've grown to like the name and I came up with the last name Antempa and I think it has a good ring to it Brenden Antempa
