WE ARE NOT ALL MEXICAN!!! wahmbulance

We hispanic people are all very different
when it comes to what we eat, our beliefs
and traditions, our way of showing respect
to elders and etc, and even our way of speaking
is entirely different.

Now I'm not trying to offend Mexicans.
You guys are cool.
But on the behalf of my Puerto Rican
and Dominican people (which I happen to
be both) and all other Hispanics,
please be considerate and don't immediately
think we're all the same or that we're
all Mexican.

Give feedback if you'd like!
Thanks for reading!! heart

Sorry my Spanish is bad.

It's very irritating when people ask "Oh, do they speak Mexican or Puerto Rican?" "Do they have tacos there?" and other ignorant things.

I definitely understand that, but sometimes the location comes into play. For example, when I visit Central to Southern California, it's pretty safe to assume that most Spanish-speaking people I run into are of Mexican descent. Same for the other Southwestern states. In places like Florida, it's a different majority. Same goes for if I was in England and overheard a French-speaking person. I would assume that they were French, rather than Canadian.

I always ask "Where are you from?" rather than "Are you ____?" anyway.

and u have a point there.
and that's a very good example,
instead of assuming, people should ask first 3nodding
