[PRP] Laughter and Frustration

Yvaine was running across the snowy landscape that was the god haven. A bright smile decorated her lips as her blue eye took in her surrounding. She felt completely comfortable in the safeness that was the gods haven, especially with the knowledge that her parents could find her if and whenever she needed them.

Her wings were curled in tight against her frame to help her retain her balance as she made her way across the open space. She came to a skidding halt giggling as she tipped over and rolled into the snow.

She laid on her back, a grin on her face, laughing. It felt nice, despite her getting soaked, to just lay where. It was peaceful and rather balanced.

Yvaine continued to laugh as she rolled over onto her belly and pushed herself up. As she sat up her laughter died down but the smile remained upon her lips. She remained where she was tilting her head slightly to the left. Her eye stared ahead of her blankly and she appeared to be deep in thought. What she was thinking of she couldn't tell you because her mind was blank.

The young goddess was just staring off into space.

She blinked snapping herself back into the present, a large grin spreading across her maw. "Silly Yvaine!" she chirped to herself spinning in a circle before flopping down on her belly. She lay there for a minute before rolling over onto her back and looking up at the sky. "Someday I'll be able to fly that high!" she exclaimed wiggling herself deeper into the snow.

Yvaine was quite the strange, and oblivious, creature.

Yvaine was oblivious to the fact that her brother was steadily sneaking up on her. She was too busy focusing her attention upon the sky and how she hoped to one day fly so very high. When he tagged her lightly he surprised her so badly that she did something that perhaps neither of them was expecting.

She screamed.

"Eeeeyaaah!" she shrieked leaping to her feet with her ears flat against her head and her wings extended to their full length. "What is wrong with you?" she growled shaking as she came to realize it was her brother who surprised her and not some vicious goddess-eating monster. "Don't do that! Don't sneak up on me like that!" she yelled looking as though she was about to cry.

She covered her head with her paws shaking it as she did so.

Yvaine stayed in the same position, unmoving, for a few minutes whimpering slightly. She didn't understand why everyone had been sneaking up on her lately, she knew most of them were just trying to play yet it scared her all the same. Finally, when tried to apologize, she peeked out from beneath her paws. He looked so sad, making her frown.

She pushed herself up and tilted her head focusing her eye on him. Shyly she stepped forward, hesitating she bit down on her lip. "Judeau..." she whispered leaning forward and resting most of her weight on her front paws.

Suddenly she darted forward, stopping just before him, and place her paw on his head. "You're it!" She chimed before hopping back a step. Yes, the little goddess was quite the odd character.

Laughter spilled from the goddess's lips as she raced forward in the snow. She managed to avoid sinking too far into the cold powdery landscape with quick, small steps. "Nooooope!" She chirped glancing back over her shoulder. "You're just gonna have to catch me~" she told her sibling in a sing-song tone of voice.

Uh-oh, she could see him catching up with her. That simply wasn't going to do. She looked away from Judeau and focused on the area before her. She needed to run faster, she needed to take bigger steps!

So she did just that. She ran quickly across the land keeping her eyes ahead of her resisting the temptation to look behind her to see how close her sibling was. If she did it was very possible that she would stumble and trip and make it that much easier for him to catch her.

She wasn't ready to be caught!

Yvaine laughed as she scampered away from her brother. She wasn't struggling as much as Judeau to run across the snow but there were more than a couple of times where she found herself sinking in too deep. She figured the trick was to move quickly and not stay in one place for too long, unfortunately she tripped and went flying face-first into the snow. "Ooooow," she groaned picking herself up off the ground.

Unfortunately for her it seemed like a similar thing had happened to her sibling, only worse. Instead of being forced to a halt he continued moving and was heading straight for her!

Oh no! Oh no! RUN AWAY!!!!!!

Yvaine scrambled to her feet and tried desperately to get moving and run away from mass of snow and lion that was her brother.

"AAAAAAH!" She shrieked as he hit her.

Yvaine didn't answer right away. She was too busy trying to get the world to stop spinning around her. She let out a groan as she shut her eyes tightly and dramatically threw her left paw over her face like she was in agony. "Oooooh," she moaned pathetically rolling on to her side.

When Judeau crashed in to her she had been thrown on her back, belly up and slightly buried in the snow. In fact she as attempted to pick herself up a cute outline of her sprawled out form was imprinted in the snow. Haha, oops.

"Oooh," she pouted opening her eyes as her brother tried to talk to her. She furrowed her brow as the world finally stopped moving long enough for her to figure out what had just happened. "I...I don't know," she replied sounding rather surprised.

Everything had happened at once and she thought for sure that they'd keep tumbling through the snow until they hit something else yet here they were mostly unharmed. "My head hurts," she complained frowning pretty deeply. "It's your fault."
